| Maomao's got the romantic awareness of a rock, like, is it because of her upbringing or despite it? Who knows lol. Jinshi really out here struggling to get through to her. Also what was even up with him and the food? Was the whole point to get him drunk and frisky or something?? LMAO. And Basen man, watching that guy for a bit gave me some ideas. His reactions in the first half had me dying lmaooo. But fr, the second half is where things actually went down. Jinshi said “a bit,” but we got way more than that lol. Normally, this would be the part where he gets injured in the escape, and she has to nurse him back to health, aaaand realizes he's got a whole lot of not lacking going on. But nah, instead Maomao is out here being more embarrassed about her stomach growling than about being basically naked in front of him. Priorities? She ain't got normal ones. And bruh, these two should’ve known that no matter who was getting on top of who, they were definitely gonna end up falling all over each other… and yep, that’s exactly what happened xD I remember this is around where I stopped reading the manga because I wanted to wait and see how the anime would handle it, and so far, ribbit, I mean, bravo. |

| MAOMAO AND JINSHI STANS WE WON. Lives were fucking changed today omg, what an ending. This is already shaping up to be one of my fave Kusuriya arcs. Classic trap set up with Jinshi being summoned to the northern lands for a hunting game. Kinda giving game of thrones and what better way to take out a political rival than under the guise of a “hunting accident” question is, will it be as obvious as it being Lord Shishou or is someone else talking advantage of the opportunity 🤔 either way, Jinshi clearly knew something was probably gonna happen which is why he invited Maomao aka the person he can rely on the most to save his life lol Ended up being the other way around at least at the start of this arc with Jinshi having to do CPR on Maomao and save her from the assassins. The tension in that cave could be cut with a knife man I’m telling you, they’re so cute. I knew there was no way Jinshi was gonna let that opportunity pass without trying SOMETHING. That ending scene is so spicy omg. Is it gonna be a bait and switch ala Jinshi hearing something and just wanting to keep Maomao down OR is he actually finally gonna make his move following the advice of his mom last episode 🤔 either way, need next week ep BADLY. I didn’t realize how small and delicate Maomao was until this episode either. She really is so precious and it’s such a cute contrast with Jinshi’s height and build 😍 |

| It's not clear what the Northern lord is exactly trying to achieve. It's most likely that he wants to "unmask" Jinshi, but is that about Jinshi pretending to be a eunuch, or about the fact that he's the emperor's brother? How would the lord even know about this? Also, if he wants to trap Jinshi, why did he order assassins to shoot at him? The assassins seemed to be shooting to kill, because they left the scene thinking Jinshi is dead. Maybe the assassins are actually working for someone else? At least the story seems to be picking up the pace. Chill mystery-of-the-week format has been nice and all, but I was starting to get a little impatient. |

The exciting part didn't arrive in this episode, so the next one will be. It was a Frog / No-Frog episode

| Come on, that's some solo leveling cliffhanger stuff! Can't believe it cut there, but of course, should've expected it. First of all, loved the episode. Secondly, as Maomao said, curious as to know who would want Jinshi dead & for what reason or grudge. I know that the next episode is gonna be what we're all waiting for, FINALLY, yet still curious about those assassins. Were they hired by someone or were they doing that out of their own will? I doubt the latter because it's dangerous & not really worth it, however, i think it's the former, and i suspect that Shishou might be behind it for some reason which i ain't aware about so far, but he's the only one who looked suspicious to me the whole episode for some reason, dunno. Excited to know what the deal with the assassination is, but more importantly, CAN'T WAIT A WEEK FOR THE CONTINUATION OF THE FROG SCENE MAN. |

| Now I understand why everyone was excited about this episode and kept talking about the frog. Thanks to that frog, Jinshi finally had her moment with Maomao. Honestly, she has no idea how Jinshi feels about her, although Jinshi didn't help much either: he was too shy to tell her his true identity. I can't wait to see what happens between Jinshi and Maomao. As for Jinshi's attackers, they might have been sent by the guy who organized the hunt, that old man mentioned earlier and it looks like he'll bring quite a bit of trouble. Also, nerf Maomao already! He can withstand large amounts of poison, and now even aphrodisiacs don't affect him, while poor Basen couldn't take it. |

I didn't know the scenes before the frog: the moment with jumping into the waterfall, undressing and falling is cliché for me. I don't have to wait a week for a new episode to express my opinion and emotions about this episode lol |
| Maomao just build different. Sadly Maomao isn't into aquatic medicine ingredients, if she was, she would know how to swim. What a nice looking dog. Jinshi's hairstyle after jumping from a waterfall is a lot better than his usual one. |

Just wait, the real hype moment hasn't happened yet. Let's just say Maomao still has an important 'discovery' to make... that's all I'll say. Next week, things will get interesting.

| @Satirtha Mao is clueless but at the same time she doesn't want to get into any intimate scenes because it's a problem for her. She's not interested in it and she doesn't want it because she doesn't want to get in trouble. Imagine someone has a one-sided crush on you. You like them but you don't love them. You'd rather act like Mao, i.e. keep that person at a distance. Telling Jinshi not to touch her, not to do weird things doesn't work because the guy is quite pushy, so Mao just distances himself. For her, rare medicines etc. are much more appealing and exciting than Jinshi for now. Jinshi, on the other hand, is like a child and can't understand it.Someone opposes him and doesn't behave like his typical ''toy'' |

| Maomao look so pretty in her blue outfit. And she's a heavyweight drinker as usual. She's just built different. That dog looks...different? I don't know how to describe it, but it's very nondescript. Uh oh...another assassination attempt, this time with handguns...and multiple shooters. Maomao is quite prudent to bring along along an electrolyte drink for dehydration/heat stroke. Too bad it was left behind though. The CPR chest compressions looked pretty good. I wonder who Jinshi learned it from. Jinshi fanservice with his shirt off...I see he's built different as well...👀 😳 That ending cliffhanger, ahhhhhhhhh I'm really looking forward to next week, I can't wait. |
