English: 9io9 is a gravitationally lensed galaxy. It is bright in sub-millimeters and shows star formation a thousand times higher than the Milky Way. The image is an infrared view, created with Hubble WFC3 data.
Deutsch: 9io9 ist eine Galaxie, die durch einen Gravitationslinseneffekt vergrößert wird. Die Linse ist hell im Submillimeter Bereich und zeigt eine Sternenbildungsrate, die etwa eintausend Mal höher ist, als die der Milchstraße. Das Bild ist ein Infrarotbild, erstellt mit Daten des Instruments WFC3 auf dem Hubble Teleskop.
