Tour et entrée principale de léglise de Saint-Géry, en venant des Riches-Claires.Dessin de Puttaert daprès loriginal de P. Vitzthumb. ■— 26 nivôse an vu. (Cabinet des estampes de la Bibliothèque royale.) Les deux vues de léglise de Saint-Géry ne sont évidemment pas celles de la construction primitive, qui ne fut quune pauvrechapelle couverte en chaume. Elles représentent les ruines de léglise construite au temps de Charles-Quint, dont il seradonné une vue intérieure dans le chapitre VI, consacré aux édifices religieux de la capitale. de la Bibliothèque de Bourgogne, dont M. Ruelens a fait lacquisition en Hollandeen 1866. Le Bruxelles du xive siècle, comme le Bruxelles daujourdhui, a la forme dunepoire dont la tige est à la porte de Hal, et qui se trouve assise sur la ligne des boule-vards depuis la porte de Louvain jusquà la porte de Flandre.
