Summary

Description

Missoula, Montana

Bus dependent transit systems are less effective at reducing carbon emissions that electric powered LRT. They carry fewer people per unit and generate point source emissions that are the most significant source of climate change inducing emissions in our urban environments.

While they clearly beat private automobility, bus transit has its limits that need to be recognized by those planning our transit futures.
