Summary

Description
English: Soon after the formation of Gondwana a rift appeared at the southern border of Africa, this filled with sediment which became the Cape Supergroup. With closure of this rift these sediments were folded into the Cape Fold Belt, with a massive range of mountains behind them, called the Falklands Plateau.
