Summary
| Description |
Lupinus milo-bakeri—Milo Baker's lupine. Included in the CNPS Inventory of Rare and Endangered Plants on list 1B.1 (rare, threatened, or endangered in CA and elsewhere). Most remaining locations are roadside ditches; thus, L. milo-bakeri is threatened by road maintenance and herbicide spraying. Milo Baker, for whom the plant is named, was a 20th-century botanist who worked in northern California, see milobaker.cnps.org/index.php/about for a short biography. On the down side, L. milo-bakeri is listed, along with other Lupinus species, as possessing major toxicity.
