Purpose of use |
Educational. The bikini was a revolutionary garment, so much so that no reputable model would wear it for a photo shoot, so a stripper was hired. The fact that the bikini has become so mundane a part of our existence is an important cultural statement, and what establishes that is the beginning of the bikini (i.e. the garment worn in the photo) and its history thereafter. Once again, an article about the bikini without a photo of the very first bikini is unthinkable. |
