Română: Aceasta fusese viziune Aztecilor in 1323, cand, spune legenda, aztecii au avut o viziune cu un vultur care statea in varful unui cactus si tinea in gura un sarpe. Dupa inca vreo cativa ani de ratacire, aztecii au dat de o insula mlastinoasa, de-abia locuibila, din mijlocul lacului Texcoco - in ziua de azi nu mai exista; se afla sub Ciudad de Mexico. Se presupune ca aceasta era insula pe care se afla vulturul din viziunea lor. Astfel, inceteaza sa mai rataceasca fara sens si incep sa construiasca. Noul lor oras s-a numit Tenochtitlan.
Português: Escultura mexicana relembrando o momento em que os astecas acharam o sinal do lugar de fundação da cidade de Tenochtitlan. A escultura está próxima ao Zocalo, na Rua Pino Suarez, Centro Histórico, Cidade do México. México.
