Polski: Mount Speke (4890 m) i jezioro Bujuku (3891 m) w górach Ruwenzori widziane z okolic obozu Margherita, z wysokości około 4480 m. Zanikający lodowiec Speke, zlokalizowany na stokach Mount Speke pomiędzy wierzchołkami Vittorio Emanuele (4890 m, najwyższy) a Johnston (4834 m, po prawej) był przed kilkudziesięciu laty największym lodowcem w górach Ruwenzori i wypełniał całkowicie niewielki cyrk lodowcowy, w którym obecnie znajduje się jeziorko Ruhandika (4341 m).
English: Mount Speke (4890 m) and Lake Bujuku (3891 m), Rwenzori Mountains, as seen from approx. 4480 m altitude near Margherita Camp. The quickly disappearing Speke Glacier, located on the slopes between Vittorio Emanuele summit (4890 m, the highest) and Johnston (4834 m, on the right) was the single largest glacier of Rwenzori Mountains just a few decades ago. It completely filled then a small cirque, nowadays occupied by Lake Ruhandika (4341 m). |
