Summary

Description
English: Palaeoartistic reconstruction of a 16 m Otodus megalodon (illustration by Oliver E. Demuth). Fin shapes are based on generalised morphometric shapes in the silhouettes whereas the reconstruction aims to capture their true biological shapes, i.e. the ceratotrichia of the tail present in all five modern analogues.
