English: Resafa or Sergiopolis was a city located in the Roman province of Euphratensis. The site dates to the 9th century BC. It lies southwest of Raqqa and the Euphrates. It was on several great caravan roads, with Palmyra to the south and Aleppo on the west. Resafa, Sergiopolis, Syria.
