A Sé Catedral de Bragança data do século XVI. A sua fundação deve-se ao Duque D. Teodósio e á Câmara. Durante um período de tempo esteve ocupado pelos padres Jesuítas que aí instalaram um colégio. Após a expulsão dos Jesuítas, a Sé reverteu à coroa e mais tarde foi doado à mitra de Miranda, sendo mais tarde transferida para Bragança.
