DescriptionSomali women building a somali house.jpg
English: Much of Somalia was historically a nomadic society. Daily life centered around herding camels, building a homestead, and raising children in tight family groups. Nomadic Somalis lived in homes like this one. The nomadic homes are precisely designed so that families can dismantle the structure, pack it on to the backs of their camels, and re-build it in a new home. In Somali language, this home is called an Aqal.
Soomaaliga: Somalidu waa dad xoolo dhaqato aha, noloshooduna ay ku xidhnayd dhaqashada xoolaha nool, deganaashaha guri iyo barbaarinta ubadka iyo qoyaska oo aad isugu xidhan. Somalidi hore ee xoolo dhaqatada ahaa waxay ku noolayeen oo hoy u aha aqal somali sida kan oo kale ah. Aqal somaliga waxa loo dhisan jiray si uu ula jaanqado xaaladaha iyo geediga ay yihiin.
