Description
English: Thomas "Tommy" Dewar, a Scottish whisky distiller. He donated the US Open Cup trophy in 1912 with the purpose of promoting soccer in the US. The cup was given to the tournament's winner until it was retired in 1979 due to poor condition. The trophy is now permanently housed in the National Soccer Hall of Fame in Oneota, N.Y.
