I'm still here. Life has just been terribly hectic.

It's been overwhelming. My day ends pretty much when I get home...but I've gotten my fifteen minutes in. :)

Saturday is my day off. I'm hoping to finish K and get her up.

If I can spend even fifteen minutes drawing every two days then maybe I can have something to show for it... These posts are helping me keep some track record of my progress though. And while I'm still submitting scraps (Persephone is still an experiment), I will be getting something out soon.

In other news: coloring is hard.

I'm bad at keeping them.

Work has been extra busy, and with the upcoming 'Memorial Day Weekend!' it's only going to get worse. Luckily for me, drawing has been enough of an escape to keep me sane and happy. Well...Happy.

I have a few things to post, but I want to get my first piece out of the scrap bin and up as a proper submission! So I'm going to work on that and use it as a reward for my good behavior! Persephone will be seeing a full ink/color right...now!

There will be more of it tomorrow. I wound up going to a concert with my little sister and that derailed my plans to art naked (which is drawing naked things while also naked).

My first goal is to establish a few different head/body shots of my characters. Which involves turning 'scraps' into actual finished products.

Fuck.

Over the last two months I've been stuck guzzling a cocktail of artists/writers block, depression, rabid sexual desire, and the occasional 'death by chocolate' milkshake. I was getting close to the end of caring, to the point where all the fuck switches were set to 'off' and the desire to shower or determine I was alive was met with a 'do not disturb sign'. The last time this happened I was in the middle of creating a new web comic that perished on my hard drive. The backups were never colored, and the amount of work needed to go back into those fifteen to twenty comics was just too much. So I scrapped it, wallowed in depression for a bit, and got back up...

Yesterday night I had the first burst of inspiration I've had in these last two months, and within six hours I had a few things to show for it, but only one that I decided to post. Earlier today I drew two other things, both of which feature K (my character on F-list). Having slowly gotten back into the swing of things, I'm looking to revamp my style and figure out how to get lines crispy and neat on the first stroke.

The inspiration behind every portrait is a sick soundtrack in the background. I love to draw along with music, practically channeling acoustic energy into visuals.

Despite the hardship I've started to climb back out of the pit. I'm rebuilding my web comic (after about a year off) and a handful of intricate art projects I had going on that hard drive too. I had a few layered projects that I was working on, detailing the inner workings of various creatures, muscle/sinew, organs, skeletal, and nervous/circulatory/endocrine systems. And a full wardrobe for K, as well as two other characters I have (Nel, a goat, and an orchid mantis named ElDee).

Keep your eyes peeled FOR MORE. Because it's coming.
