Order of ties
edit@Johnsmith2116:: I guess alphabetical order is OK, just wondering. I had ties listed in order by score of the most recent round, which is what the R&A uses to determine tee order for the coming round when there are ties. → Michael J Ⓣ Ⓒ Ⓜ 18:37, 19 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Michael J:: I hadn't thought of that, although that is a good point. I had learned some time ago that when these scores are entered into Wikipedia, they are typically done in alphabetical order, so, I was simply putting it that way as someone else would have eventually come along and probably done it anyway. No worries. Johnsmith2116 (talk) 18:56, 19 July 2015 (UTC)
- @Johnsmith2116:: As Paul Dunne said in his interview after the third round, the only thing that matters is the results after the fourth round. → Michael J Ⓣ Ⓒ Ⓜ 20:19, 19 July 2015 (UTC)
Flags and nationalities
editIn the round summaries section, is there some good reason for giving the UK players' flags and nationalities as "England" and "Scotland", rather than as "UK"? Does golf (despite being single-player, not team-based) have a nationality system like rugby union, where the UK players get split up among England, Scotland, and Wales, and the NIrishmen play under the banner of the Republic? Unless it's some official system, it seems rather silly to say that Paul Lawrie's from Scotland and Justin Rose's from England unless we're also going to say that Marc Leishman's from Victoria and Jordan Niebrugge's from Wisconsin. - That's the way golf does it. Look at their profiles on the PGA Tour or European Tour sites. Tewapack (talk) 19:13, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
- Sounds fine, then; that's what I meant by "some official system". Thanks! Nyttend (talk) 19:48, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
- And Northern Irish players play under their own banner in golf, not the one of the republic. And in Rugby Union they play under a special "entire isle of ireland" banner, not the one from the republic. Tvx1 13:53, 31 July 2015 (UTC)
