Philosophical aspects of "sea change"
edit I wrote 2 'graphs, one long and one short, tagging my own contrib as needing a citation. In writing, i supposed i'd be well supported by Tillyard's The Elizabethan World Picture, which is in fact much more focused on the Great Chain of Being than i remembered. A history-of-philosophy or Shakespeare specialist can probably correct and improve it with one frontal lobe tied behind their back.

What an embarrassment
editThe entire paragraph starting "This stanza has also given the phrase..." was obviously written by somebody with no -- and I mean, NO -- understanding of metaphor, or more importantly, poetry in general. What a travesty. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.22.39.53 (talk) 01:23, 27 March 2014 (UTC)

Cleanup
editBetween this article and Full_fathom_five_(catchphrase), Full Fathom Five, Sea change (idiom), List of works titled after Shakespeare, etc., there is a lot of WP:CONTENTFORKING, WP:TRIVIA, etc., which I am tidying up. Cornellier (talk) 15:59, 9 January 2023 (UTC)
