2004 Race
editAnyone know for certain that Gephardt's announcement was January 5, 2003? I recall it being later than that (February)
- Also, did Gephardt win no delegates in the Iowa Caucuses? I thought he picked up a few. TMS63112 00:08, 30 September 2005 (UTC)
I added a tag noting that the information in the "2004 Presidential Race" section does not cite any references. Some of the information, especially about Gephardt and Dean, could cause some problems if it's untrue. Someone please back these claims up! Ball&Chain 15:15, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Abortion quote 1986
editThere seems to be some confusion of when - some sources say 1977 - he wrote those remarks, but it's pretty clear he did make those remarks. They show up in a summary of his congressional papers stored at the Missouri Historical Society. Gay marriage position
editThe citation for him still opposing gay marriage is no longer working (links to some completely unrelated page), however a quick web search did find references to the piece that support the claim. However, this article in [[The New Yorker]] suggests he has changed his views: "The most prominent example of this is Cheney, who has been a longtime supporter of gay marriage, as is the former House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt, who also has a lesbian daughter." I'm not sure, however. HoboMcJoe (talk) 03:01, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
