Origins of V haplotype

edit

The statements: "... more recent estimates of the date of V would place it in the Neolithic.[1] That makes an origin in the Near East more plausible..." are not supported by the reference given. The published article does not discuss this particular issue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.12.130.226 (talk) 14:49, 24 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Must be a gross mistake. First V haplogroup bearers known were found in Northwest Africa (Epipaleolithic period). Much before 9-10.000 years, clearly not on the Neolithic and maybe not from the Middle East. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.37.171.168 (talk) 14:42, 25 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Velda

edit

I would suggest that since Brian Sykes' clan names never caught on, Velda should probably be merged into this page. 50.37.124.19 (talk) 19:19, 29 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
