"hot springs"

edit

hot spring should appear at the top, as this page is located at the title case plural version of the pagename. As most disambiguation pages do not distinguish between capitalization unless they are unwieldly large, the entry for the geologic topic should be integrated into the page instead of sitting in the see also. This could be done with a list entry or as a definition line. The wiktionary link already indicates the topic of our article at "hot spring", so it would seem that hot spring should be moved up. The decision by the Wikipedia community to use singular forms for articles on nouns is a stylistic choice, we could just have easily decided to use plural forms, as the categories do. It doesn't bear on the world at large where "springs" and "hot springs" is usually spelled plural. -- 70.50.151.11 (talk) 06:30, 22 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

(as per your talk page) Hi, I would say no. Readers looking for "hot spring" and "hot springs" will have already been there. As all the items are "Hot Springs" either the reader got here by entering the capital or via the lowercase (primary topic). Either way no. If we keep this to proper nouns then currently this is useful. If we mix the upper and lowercase (which MOSDAB tells us) then the obvious thing to do is move the dab so it has a primary topic. Just don't think that's as useful. Talk like this should go on its talk page, as others will have opinions. Widefox; talk 02:18, 20 March 2014 (UTC) Widefox; talk 17:20, 29 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
