editMukund Kishore Chakravarty has written in his autobiography, "Vague rumors of Mussalmans being killed in West Bengal and about Mulavi Fazlul Huq (may his shadow never grow less!) and his son-in-law having been murdered in Calcutta reached the place via Barisal, with the speedy result that the lives and property of the Hindus of a vast area became endangered. About a score of steamer-passengers including an entire family of seven, barring one providential exception, were hacked to pieces or stabbed and thrown into the river near the Ilsa Ghat steamer station." Please refer to page 142 of his autobiography that is available online. As for the other reference, kindly buy the book from Codex publishers in Kolkata and verify it. The book is written by Dr. Dinesh Chandra Sinha, former Deputy Registrar of the University of Calcutta. BengaliHindu (talk) 18:28, 11 February 2014 (UTC)
