I will begin the review shortly and aim to complete in next few days. A quick glance tells me this will pass. A more thorough review will be conducted and minor changes will need to be made. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 |talk2me16:01, 19 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
Introduction and infobox
First paragraph's third sentance needs re-writing. e.g. "Return the Favor was released from Hilson'd debut album, In a Perfect World..., serving as the international second single whilst the urban single, 'Turning Me On' was released in the US."
Done except using while instead of whilst.
In second paragraph, Timbaland calling the song bigger and better needs sourcing per WP:LEAD because its a quote.
Quote is paraphrased from the statement in the background which reads, ""I've got a song that I think's better than 'The Way I Are'. I think it's bigger."
noting the production and vocal similarities to "The Way I Are", preferring the latter stated track. → critics gave the song mixed reviews, noting that although "Return the Favors'"t production and vocals had similarities to "The Way I Are", critics preferred the latter.
✗Not done As the current version seems better as the given example is very wordy and the although is never resolved "noting that although...critics preferred the latter.." and it is also very wordy. The current version is very concise and resolves "noting the production....preferring the latter."
whilst → while.
Done
Exorbitant?
Exceeding the customary or appropriate limits in intensity, quality, amount, or size. A synonym of extravagant, lavish, overdue.
This is not adequate. It needs copy editing and needs to be written in clearer prose. It makes no mention of the peaks of the single just its debuting positions. You've used Australia-charts for the Austrian chart commentary yet you could have used the austria chart reference.-- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 |talk2me21:24, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm confused as all chart positions say "debuted and peaked" and if not that just "peaked." I re-wrote it a bit but it was kind of hard to figure out how to make it sound clearer than it was, unless you had any suggestions. Candyo3219:25, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
I'm afraid this still needs work. It is better but now reads as a list. Perhaps something along the lines of "Return the Favor" was most successful in Belgium reaching... It also reached X, Y and Z. However it experienced short/long chart runs only lasting..." -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 |talk2me22:28, 29 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Music Video
Expand this to include a proper synopsis of what happens in the video because its not entirely clear.
Well the video has no plot, so the synopsis would be light. However what goes on is included in the first paragraph of the music video, which seems to suit rather than garbled commentary of wardrobe changes and movements which are already covered. 19:25, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
The Australian chart is not shown in the reference given. You're going to need to search the pandora archives, which is the only way to source Australia charts positions 51-100. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 |talk2me21:24, 27 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
No, it was only released on iTunes in the US since it was techincally only an international single. And now on iTunes in the US, idk about anywhere else, but once an album is release, the album version of the single succeeds the single release, and it is the one promoted and single version appears as if it never existed in the search.
