Dear friends,

This is my current plan for the article based on Fr S G Perera's and Gaston Perera's books which I believe as more easier to follow than the Paul E Peiris's work. It's not the final arrangement and I would like to know your thoughts.

Change of image

I changed the image because, although the kandyan forces were participated in the siege of galle the image wasn't strictly related to the current topic. I felt that current image is more topic relevant. Thanks. Nishadhi (talk) 21:00, 7 February 2014 (UTC)

Name

This article has a name that doesn't mean anything about the war. There are 2 reason commonly.

1. Kindom of Kotte militarily aided by the Portuguese.

Confusing title

Is it war between Sinhalese and Portuguese or Ceylonese and Portuguese? If it Sinhalese and Portuguese, it is better to remove Kingdom of Jaffna, Vanni chieftains other other who are not ethnically Sinhalese. If they supported Sinhalese, it would be ok and clearly mentioned in infobox. AntanO 07:55, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
