GA from 2008. Nominating this because of the two refimprove tags. Numerous citation needed tags, and a failed verification tag. Bambots reports "Unsourced passages need footnotes ((citation needed)) (December 2015, February 2020), Dead external links ((dead link)) (September 2017), ... (February 2020), Failed verification (September 2022)" Onegreatjoke (talk) 18:27, 7 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Superman: The Movie

edit

Watch this video at the timestamp 3:05. Warner Bros. refers to the official preserved film of the movie as Superman: The Movie. WickedFanAccount (talk) 23:56, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

That is not the official title of the film as originally released in theaters, which is what this article should go by. Retroactive titles like this one do not outweigh the original title, and that subtitle usage is purely for marketing purposes. Trailblazer101 (talk) 00:27, 20 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
I have evidence it is not. Warner Bros. stored the film this way. View link. Whatever though! I don't know how to start a move request so someone else can if they wat. WickedFanAccount (talk) 00:32, 20 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
Again, that still does not change the fact that it was released in theaters titled Superman, as evidenced by the billing block of the original poster. Superman: The Movie is a marketing title commonly used for this film and Warner Bros. using that for its archives does not prove what you are claiming here, especially via a video. A move request would likely not get passed either due to insufficient evidence to disregard what established sources state about this.
