Why Merge?

edit

It would make NO sense to merge both articles together. This is a single from the album, and for one, just released and very successful. It's their second Hot Shot Debut in less than about a month. What we require is more information on the song.---¤÷(`[¤*M*¤]´)÷¤- 15:48, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Not a single, a pre-released album track. There is no proof that this will be an actual single, other than the digital release given to capitalize on the Jonas Brothers' popularity. All this information can easily be merged onto the album page in a separate section. If it becomes an actual single (that is, given radio/physical release in a country (or countries)), then it of course can have its own page. But just being released on iTunes does not make it notable enough, especially if it just charts high for one week. And if that remains true, there is no way the page can really expand. There's a large difference between "Burnin' Up" and both "Tonight" and "A Little Bit Longer" (the song). Please see WP:MUSIC#Songs for more information. SKS2K6 (talk) 15:57, 7 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
Don't forget that it charted on the Billboards too! We should just leave it like this and if it doesn't get any more "notable" after a few months, then we merged it. ♥, calliegal_x (talk) 22:42, 7 August 2008 (UTC)CalliegalReply
At this point there is no need to merge, single or no single. It is not a requirement to have a single release to have its own article. The song charting on a national music chart (in the top 10 no less), nearly entirely on digital downloads, makes it notable IMO. --Wolfer68 (talk) 08:13, 8 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
