editDespite being true... doesn't sound very NPOV does it? :P I know Zamalek are in deep shit currently, but I'm not qualified to edit that atm, can someone who knows more edit it to be more NPOV? 18:00, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
The Famous PLayers seems very non-neutral to me, every player is "the best" in something. I criticise the neutrality in this article--213.89.192.200 19:15, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
The references for the Nick names of Zamalek team are just the ideas and thoughts and few of them contradict with the law in Egypt. Please review the content before making it public. Wikipedia should be careful putting very weak links as references, otherwise legal actions might be taken. Mr.WJM (talk) 16:25, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
Team vs club
editThis article should focus more on the football/soccer team specifically. We need to change the lead. Egyegy 07:16, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
El Zayat
editSounds strange, that the founder of El Zamalek was a Belgian with the name "El Zayat". Doesn't sound very "Belgian" to me... Nightworker (talk) 11:36, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

The 16,000-capacity Petro Sport Stadium is now used for almost all home games of Zamalek. Not the Cairo Stadium anymore.

Club history - origin of name Zamalek
editThe description of the club's history is confusing and the origin of the name isn't clear. The article currently states that "In the winter of 1924, the club moved for the third time to what is now known as El Balloon Theater[...] Following the army coup against the King in 1952, the club was renamed "Al Zamalek" after the area where the club was situated. The club then moved yet again for the fourth time in its history" This clearly implies that the club was named Al Zamalek in 1952 because of its location - but it also indicates that the club was located at that time at what is now El Balloon Theatre, which is not on Zamalek, it's downtown near Ataba. So did the club ever actually play on the island of Zamalek? If not, where does the name come from? I haven't been able to source the correct information, hoping someone else can help.JayZed (talk) 20:34, 12 March 2017 (UTC)

"Club of the Century" is one of Zamalek SC nicknames, its not conflicted with CAF's one, this is a nickname not a tournament that named one champion, Zamalek SC administrator named the club by this title, so do the fans. Islam84 (talk) 10:18, 10 April 2017 (UTC)

Keeping the nick name for Zamalek as it is “Nadi alqarn elhakiki” contradicts with the laws in Egypt and FIFA. The references used for this name are very weak and cannot be considered legal references. Keeping the name as-is and not removing it is totally against the law, therefore legal actions can be taken to prevent copyright of Al Ahly team who officially hold this name by the FIFA in year 2001. Merger proposal
editI propose to merge History of Zamalek SC into Zamalek SC. The "history" page is mostly redundant to this page and has issues with grammar and clarity. Ergeffen (talk) 18:38, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
- Don't merge – The History of Zamalek SC article should be improved and worked on but it should not be merged into the Zamalek SC article. Mahmoud The Beast (talk) 12:50, 2 December 2020 (UTC)
- Weak Oppose. I agree that the history article has numerous issues (and the club's article too), but this can fixed with time. We can also remove all duplicate information from the club's article and keep it on the history article only. Ben5218 (talk) 18:54, 18 December 2020 (UTC)

Copyeditor passing by
editJust went through the entire article. It absolutely needs to be rewritten, as some parts were too unclear that I couldn't properly form educated guesses on what their intended meanings were. There are also way too many pictures on here cluttering the side. I suggest either removing some or putting them all in a gallery. —Tenryuu 🐲 ( 💬 • 📝 ) 21:25, 22 January 2021 (UTC)
Edit that I don't know how to do
