I know I will get flamed for saying itsuki is best girl and I'll just say I don't think she's a perfect character by any means, in fact the things her character developments focused on were done in a very shit way. But she was easily the most complex character in quints apart from futarou himself and easily had the deepest, and most intimate relationship w/ futarou, if yall don't believe me go look up a guy called "Sylvanes" on utube, man is the godfather all of quints fans, goes into such a deep analysis of the series and he changed my opinion on the character ranking to what I said before 👀

Here's something y'all need to get: what YOU think isn't objective bc surprise surprise someone else doesn't agree with you. Quit saying "xyz is best girl fact, or objectively the best" bc that's a whole lot of nonsense you cannot prove. Here's a question for you to think about: If Itsuki is the best, why didn't she win?

Sorry it's my mistake, I explained it completely wrong. I'm not saying who is better or worse. This order is not based on who likes more or who has better personality or intrapersonal development. This order was actually born out of the "who out of the five should have won" discussion. So I wanted to set aside the subjectivity of character preference and looked at who developed a better relationship with the protagonist. Why did I do this? Fans argued every day about who should have won and they always did so by superimposing their personal preferences on the manga or the main character. What I tried to do is to see from the protagonist's perspective who was more likely to "fall in love" with him since in the series the author never introduced any romantic development on his part (probably because the premise of the story is to keep the mystery and intrigue of who he is marrying and putting this kind of development would take away "that magic"). In short, what I wanted to plot is what kind of relationship the protagonist had with each of them, how he saw them and which of these would be closest to making him fall in love with them, bearing in mind that this guy is someone who doesn't seem to show any hint of romantic interest.

Hmm, well thanks for clarifying. I still believe that your tier list is subjective since you aren't Fuutaro himself (and therefore can't vouch for him), but I can see some of the logic. I can certainly agree with Nino being ruled out immediately since her relationship with him is arguably the worst (poisoning him, and being hostile). Miku and Itsuki hardly do anything to become closer to Fuutaro, but Itsuki's choice to sit there and do nothing works in her favour imo. Ichika's position is debatable bc she caused far too much conflict and trouble with her siblings (and Fuutaro himself). It's not surprising that we both think Itsuki/Yotsuba had the best chance of being with him, since they are the ones who were on the best terms with him.

Very fantastic story, really loved how close they got to there foster dad by the end of the show it was lovely to see :) im indifferent on the ending, was hoping no one would be picked but happy overall.
