Pro-Israel --> Zionist
editThe two aren't interchangeable. For one thing, RS do not use the two terms interchangeably, almost exclusively preferring "pro-Israel". The redirect should be corrected, perhaps to reflect to Israel lobby or something to that effect, to reflect the differentiation, and to comply with WP:COMMONNAME. Longhornsg (talk) 06:33, 30 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Longhornsg Thanks for the comment. I'm not seeing the distinction, but it is a discussion worth having, as both terms appear frequently in print. I would recommend a broader community discussion over this before the redirect is charged, to invite other perspectives. Perhaps the distinction between "Zionist" and "pro-Zionist" can also be poked at. My main caution is that we must be vigilant to not endorse a view which construes Zionism and Zionists as automatically Jewish and "pro-Zionists" and being "pro-Israel" as automatically non-Jewish, as that would be inaccurate and in my view antisemitic. Perhaps some people use "pro-Israel" because they might perceive "Zionist" as having a more negative connotation. Why proud Zionists wouldn't champion the term, I don't know. Maybe as PR. Is there scholarly discussion about these terminological distinctions? Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 08:06, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- @Bohemian Baltimore @Longhornsg
- I don't know what is the background to this discussion, but as for the distinction between "Pro-Israel" and "Zionist", in my opinion it is simple.
- Zionism is the ideology that Jews have the right of self-determination in (all or part) of their historical homeland. Anyone who subscribe to this view is therefore a Zionist. Pro-Israeli is someone who likes and supports Israel and maybe even acts or speaks in her favor.
- This means that the set of "Pro-Israelis" is a subset of the set of "Zionists". That is anyone who is pro-Israeli is necessarily a Zionist, for it's quite impossible to love and support a state without believing that it has a right to exist. But you can be a Zionist and not be pro-Israeli, if you believe that it has a right to exist but are indifferent to it beyond that. For example I definitely think that Uruguay has a right to exist, but otherwise I'm quite indifferent to it. One can have a similar view on Israel. Vegan416 (talk) 20:16, 19 March 2024 (UTC)

editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Donald Edmond Pelotte. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. Articles on ANCSA village entities
editAlmost every article I've spot-checked so far is a blatant WP:NOTDIR violation. Do you honestly suppose other editors are going to come along and fill in that content? You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Category:American people who self-identify as being of Lipan Apache descent requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

Aromanticism and Asexuality are the A of LGBTQIA+ and Intersex is the I and is inherently an LGBTQIA+ identity
editYou recently made an erroneous new group of categories that misrepresent certain identities on the LGBTQIA+ community. Aromanticism, Asexuality and Intersex are inherently part of the LGBTQIA+ community and are not separate.
Please undo all the changes you have made with this regard as they are incorrect and misrepresent these identities. The reason why Wikipedia uses LGBT to identity the entirety of the LGBTQIA+ community is a separate topic, of which we have regular discussions for renaming, but it doesn't change the fact that other queer identities are part of it and should not be othered out.
Aromanticism is also NOT a subcategory of Asexuality as you erroneously changed here - please stop this editing immediately and undo all these wrong changes.
I recommend you seek guidance at Wikipedia:WikiProject LGBT studies before making any further of these sweeping changes. Raladic (talk) 16:11, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Raladic They are not erroneous as LGBT intersex people and LGBT asexuals people exist. There are plenty of intersex people who identify as cisgender heterosexuals and plenty of asexuals who identify as cis/heteroromantic or straight. Being a gay asexual or a trans asexual or an intersex lesbian is a meaningful intersection of two oppressed groups, a minority within a minority. The changes have already been undone by other editors. But I insist that to erase and eradicate the specificity of queer asexuals and queer intersex people is both deeply homophobic and transphobic. Perhaps not in intent, but certainly in the result. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 10:28, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- Your error stems from the misunderstanding that is how we consider LGBT as encompassng all parts of the LGBTQIA+ umbrella per current Wikipedia consensus. It just hasn't been renamed because consensus for what to rename it to (LGBT vs LGBTQ vs LGBTQ+ and so on) has been difficult (you can find a whole lot of history of rename discussions at LGBT).
- Since Asexual, Aromantic and and Intersex are inherently part of that community umbrella, it is redundant to say that someone who is Asexual is also LGBTQIA+ with a different category, hence the categories you created misrepresent this and imply that they were not already part of the umbrella by othering them out. Raladic (talk) 14:16, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Raladic Not all asexuals and aromantic people identify as LGBTQ. Many identify as heteroromantic or heterosexual. In what capacity is an aromantic heterosexual cisgender man part of the LGBT community simply because he doesn't experience romantic attraction to the women he finds sexually attractive? That is an incoherent and bizarre definition that erases aromantic and asexual people who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, or otherwise non-hetero and/or non-cis. Likewise, many intersex people identify as cisgender and heterosexual/straight. Not all intersex people identify as part of the LGBTQ community and making these sorts of conflations contributes to erasure of non-cishet people. There's a lot of homophobia, transphobia, and LGBT erasure on Wikipedia. This would require a larger debate within the LGBT WikiProject, and the inclusion of much more content on LGBTQ ace/aro and LGBTQ intersex people to fix. In the interim, heteronormativity and cisnormativity remains firm on Wikipedia. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 11:28, 2 May 2024 (UTC)
- By the definition they are part of the LGBTIA+ community, whether they are cis-het or not.
- Being Aromantic by itself is still a queer trait as it is not a choice, but an inherent Trait and as such are part of the community, irrespective whether they are cisgender or heterosexual.
- For comparison, some people who are Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender also do not identify with the term queer, even though anyone of the LGBTQIA+ community by the definition is so.
- Just because some individuals on their personal level may not identify as part of the community, doesn’t make this the universal truth.
- The Aspec community specifically coined the Split attraction model to help people understand that you can be heterosexual, but also aromantic and this still does not disqualify you from being part of the LGBTQIA+ community.
- As a member of the community myself and the author of both the SAM and Aromanticism article, I can assure you that I have spent extensive time researching it. I spent this time as prior to that, the entire existence of Aromanticism on Wikipedia was relegated to a bit more than a footnote on Romantic Orientation and I have spent considerable effort to increase the visibility for the Aspec community to reduce its Aspec erasure. Raladic (talk) 14:41, 2 May 2024 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Category:LGBT aromantic people
editA tag has been placed on Category:LGBT aromantic people, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- The category has been empty for seven days or more and it is not presently under discussion at Categories for discussion, or at disambiguation categories. (See section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.)
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Pansexuality is not the same as bisexuality
editI've reverted your category changes. You can be pansexual and not bisexual. Bisexuality is about attracted to multiple genders, while pansexuality is about being attracted to all genders. Mason (talk) 17:28, 7 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Smasongarrison Bisexuality was already the parent category for pansexuality. I merely made the subcats match. As you said, bisexuality is attraction to two or more genders. That's the widely accepted term in that community. Thus, pansexuality is part of the bi umbrella. But it seems like as usual, Wikipedia is woefully behind the times. There are a score of terms like omnisexual, polysexual, plurisexual, multisexual. All of those terms fit comfortably under the bi+ umbrella. It makes zero sense to have multiple scattershot categories that serve to detract from navigability rather than help. That's why identities like genderfluid, genderqueer, etc are placed as subcategories of "non-binary" on Wikipedia. It simply makes sense in terms of navigation of content. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 10:03, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- these are not the same. All genders is not the same as multiple genders. Mason (talk) 12:01, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Smasongarrison It falls under the same umbrella because "all genders" are "two or more genders". All is more than two. This is a common understanding, not something I invented. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 17:26, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- You placed pansexuality as being nested within of bisexual, which is the opposite of what you are saying here. Regardless, my point is that your interpretation of what "makes sense" is not in line with how many others view these nested structures. Mason (talk) 18:37, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Smasongarrison I placed the pan biographical categories within the bi biographical categories as subcats, matching the fact that the category for pansexuality was already a subcat of bisexuality. I simply made the categorization consistent. Not all bi people are pansexual, but pansexuality falls under the bi+ umbrella. Here's an example of this very common definition from bi.org: "Terms that fall under the bi umbrella include pansexual (attraction to all genders, with a political emphasis on trans and non-binary gender identities), polysexual and multisexual (attraction to multiple sexes), and omnisexual (attraction to all sexes)." The Human Rights Commission, citing the leading bi activist Robyn Ochs, states that a "broad definition of bisexuality includes people who identify as pansexual, queer, fluid and other labels that suggest potential attraction to more than one gender." This is a mainstream definition, but as usual Wikipedia has a molasses-like ability to keep up with language everyone else has been using for the last 10 to 15 years. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 19:49, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- If you want to change the parent category structure, I recommend you do so through seeking consensus at CFD and a broader RFD. Rather than unilaterally doing so, like you did in this case. Mason (talk) 21:23, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Smasongarrison Not unilaterally, as some of the pansexual categories were already subcats of bi categories. But I can certainly do that. I'm unaware of any written consensus supporting the opposite, in deletion/merging discussions or LGBT WikiProject guidelines. Are you? Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 21:46, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

- If you want to change the parent category structure, I recommend you do so through seeking consensus at CFD and a broader RFD. Rather than unilaterally doing so, like you did in this case. Mason (talk) 21:23, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- You placed pansexuality as being nested within of bisexual, which is the opposite of what you are saying here. Regardless, my point is that your interpretation of what "makes sense" is not in line with how many others view these nested structures. Mason (talk) 18:37, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Smasongarrison It falls under the same umbrella because "all genders" are "two or more genders". All is more than two. This is a common understanding, not something I invented. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 17:26, 10 April 2024 (UTC)
- these are not the same. All genders is not the same as multiple genders. Mason (talk) 12:01, 10 April 2024 (UTC)

I'm glad I found someone else who knows about the erasure of intersex people, transgender people and LGBTQ+ people. I also cannot understand why so many people dishonestly want to disprove the fact that there are many overlaps between groups of LGBTQ+ people and non-LGBTQ+ people, whether they are intersex or endosex, cisgender or transgender, binary or non-binary or agender.
I wonder whether we can gather off-wiki support for opposing this deletion? I'm a member of a discord server for LGBTQ+ people (https://discord.gg/gay) and if you want to join it, we can discuss with many people who are more progressive. — CrafterNova [ TALK ] [ CONT ] 16:42, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) CrafterNova, please see WP:Canvassing. Contacting a specific set of people offwiki and getting them to express a certain view onwiki goes against Wikipedia's system of consensus decision-making. It's almost always considered disruptive. — ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 17:22, 19 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Ezlev: Alright. I agree, no off-wiki discussions. I still wonder how on-wiki support can be gathered for opposing such deletions, since many users don't want to listen to intersex people who are not LGBTQ+, such as Betsy Driver, Lisa Lee Dark, Sally Gross, Esther Morris Leidolf, Sarah Gronert, Phoebe Hart, Bonnie Hart. — CrafterNova [ TALK ] [ CONT ] 09:41, 20 April 2024 (UTC)

Clan categories
editI appreciate you and appreciate your work here, but please, please consider if a new category helps any users in finding articles they want (the goal of categories). The clan categories are overcategorization. First, clans are often called by many different names or having different English translations, so choosing one over the other is arbitrary (check out the various spellings of Navajo clans in published sources). Second, they are almost all self-identified or original research. Third, these are internal classifications used within tribal communities for their own purposes; they aren't really for outsiders. Fourth, some tribes have clans for adopting newcomers; and a person can have a clan affiliation without being a tribal citizen and, in some instances, clan affiliations can change or be contested. Fifth, some tribes are very upfront with their clan affiliations, like the Seneca, and those can certainly be included in a person's bio, but others are not for diverse reasons. There is so much work needed on Native articles that does not involve categories. Yuchitown (talk) 15:28, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Yuchitown Thanks for the feedback. Which categories do you think should remain and which do you think should be deleted? Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 19:42, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- It seems like all the clan categories in an English-language Wikipedia would be problematic. But it might be appropriate, for instance, to have Navajo clan categories in the Navajo wikipedia if speakers could provide the most up-to-date orthography. Yuchitown (talk) 20:18, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Yuchitown Furthermore, when clan affiliation is listed in the text of biographic articles, what sort of language should we be using? What sort of documentation should we look for, if any? I would like to improve coverage of clans, along the lines of Cherokee clans. I was thinking of possible articles like Mohawk clans or Seneca clans. Any advice? What about a stub like this: List of chiefs of the Wolf Clan of the Lenape. Not my creation. Improve? Merge into a Lenape clans article? Merge into the main Lenape article? Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 23:45, 21 May 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, articles about a particular tribe's clans make sense, since they could include variant spellings and translations for clans. I'm surprised there's not already a Navajo clans article. Looking at the Cherokee clans article, it's surprising how poorly cited that is considering that would be the easiest to find citations for. Moving the clan info out of the Navajo people and Lenape articles would help make those main articles more readable (especially Lenape since it's at 97,904 bytes).
- I prodded List of chiefs of the Wolf Clan of the Lenape since I can't imagine anyone ever searching for that term. Crazy all the odd flotsam and jetsam still out there. Yuchitown (talk) 04:11, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Yuchitown Running this new category by you, in case you had thoughts: Category:Members of state-recognized tribes in the United States. I've been a bit under the weather and on cold medication. My apologies for hastiness. While I am at it, could there be lists or categories for officially designated tribal artisans per the Indian Arts and Crafts Act, or would that be problematic? Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 04:25, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
- Yeah, I've seen the Category:Members of state-recognized tribes in the United States and that seems like it will be a useful catch-all category. Regarding a potential tribally designated artisans category, I don't think it would be possible to find many secondary, published sources for that status. Not many people have that designation, and they tend to just have letters directly from the tribal councils. Hope your cold passes soon! Yuchitown (talk) 04:45, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

Categories
editHello, Bohemian Baltimore,
Maybe think twice when you are creating categories to consider whether they need to be created. Then they don't need to be blanked and tagged for deletion. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 02:55, 22 May 2024 (UTC)

Introduction to contentious topics
editYou have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrain from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Self-identification
editNext time you revert me on a BLP issue without addressing WP:BLPRESTORE after the BLPN discussion on Norby[[1]], I will take it to WP:ARE. I do understand your position and am sympathetic to the impact that legitimising self-identification has on Native communities, but the BLP policies are stringent in that you do not introduce original research outside of what reliable sources say which include categories. Morbidthoughts (talk) 07:44, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Morbidthoughts Will you remove the "American people of Native American descent" category from the article or not? I'm happy to remove it myself. It's absurd to use the category, and there's a wealth of information demonstrating why DNA tests don't determine Indigeneity. The article itself states that there's no way to tell if her alleged DNA is Native American or East Asian. The category needs to go. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 07:55, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- I have removed it because DNA testing is an inexact science. However, if a RS declares someone is of Native American or any specific tribal descent without explicitly demonstrating the identification came from the subject, you shouldn't introduce the self-identification qualifier into the article text or category. If no RS discusses the background or ethnicity, you should just remove the mention and the category. Morbidthoughts (talk) 08:04, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- @Morbidthoughts If a subject's claim to be "of Native American descent" is so flimsy and vague that they can't even pinpoint which of the 500+ tribes they might descend from...then they don't belong in that category at all. It is a container category for a reason. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 08:11, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- That is using your knowledge (OR) to know how the identification came about. The source, not the subject, may not have cared to name the tribe. Also someone who is of descent but not a member of a tribe may be less inclined to name a tribe since they are not familiar or in touch with the community. Morbidthoughts (talk) 08:22, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

- User:Sdkb/User:Bohemian Baltimore: I would have voted Keep, had this been brought to my attention. Currently we have no way of categorizing predominately lower-class Black neighborhoods in Baltimore. They have a distinct culture, for better or worse. It was labeled "working class". Is there a better idea? They basically fit the definition of a ghetto historically, and arguably currently in some cases. Thus Category:Black ghettos in Baltimore, Maryland per Ghetto#Black_or_African-American_ghettos. There is lots of academic literature about black urban ghettos, and in Baltimore, blacks were intentionally segregated into ghettos. The problem might be in labeling entire neighborhoods "ghetto", but what else would one call places like Sandtown-Winchester, Baltimore and Coppin Heights, Baltimore? -- GreenC 04:24, 19 October 2024 (UTC)

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

- @Smasongarrison Please consider that the categories are different. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 03:39, 26 October 2024 (UTC)
Open Orthodox Jews Category
editI saw that you have been somewhat involved in tagging Wikipedia pages of people with the 'Open Orthodox Jews' category. It's not clear to me that Open Orthodox Judaism is an identifiable movement. I am not aware of any person who self-identifies as "Open Orthodox."
Though there is an Open Orthodoxy wikipedia page, before 2016, it was just a section on the Avi Weiss page describing an element of his ideology. It was made into its own page in 2016, when opponents of Weiss and his Yeshivat Chovevei Torah attempted to define Weiss' ideology as being outside of Orthodox Judaism as a critique. Consequently, Open Orthodoxy as a term functions as a critique of the progressive elements of Orthodox Judaism. It is an exonym for an undefined group.
Using Open Orthodoxy as a category seems to go agaisnt Wikipedia's general mission to be objective. There are other options for categorizing some of the people currently categorized as Open Orthodox. Some of the people there identify as part of Orthodox Jewish Feminism and others might be part of the Traditional Egalitarian movement. Itsik.isserles (talk) 22:18, 29 October 2024 (UTC)

Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement topic ban
editThe following topic ban now applies to you:
You are indefinitely topic banned from the self-identification or citizenship of living or recently deceased people, broadly construed.
You have been sanctioned as a result of this AE report.
This topic ban is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Editing of Biographies of Living Persons#Final decision and, if applicable, the contentious topics procedure. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. Please read WP:TBAN to understand what a topic ban is. If you do not comply with this topic ban, you may be blocked for an extended period, by way of enforcement of this sanction—and you may also be made subject to further sanctions.
You may appeal this sanction using the process described here. I recommend that you use the arbitration enforcement appeals template if you wish to submit an appeal to the arbitration enforcement noticeboard. You may also appeal directly to me (on my talk page), before or instead of appealing to the noticeboard. Even if you appeal this sanction, you remain bound by it until you are notified by an uninvolved administrator that the appeal has been successful. You are also free to contact me on my talk page if anything above is unclear to you. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:23, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- Further, you are warned against casting aspersions or making accusations without evidence.
- As far as your questions at AE go, your topic ban would cover adding the citizenship to a BLP, e.g. adding an American writer to an article. You can still edit BLPs as long as you stay away from self-identification and citizenship.
- The off-wiki evidence needs to be provided to Arbcom, since they're the people who handle that. As an administrator I cannot consider off-wiki evidence, and certainly can't handle that situation. I strongly urge you to reach out to the arbitration committee with your evidence of off-wiki harassment and canvassing. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:29, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- @ScottishFinnishRadish So what you are saying is that if I describe someone as an "Icelandic poet", that's against the rules? You know perfectly well that doesn't make any sense. That would prevent me from writing any articles about any persons, because almost every article starts with something like "Polish musician" or "Japanese artist". If that is what you are saying, that is jaw-droppingly draconian. Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 13:35, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- You could just leave that out and wait for another editor to add it. The sanction isn't as wide as it could be, and the consensus of administrators is that that was the most targeted sanction that is likely to prevent further disruption. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:41, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- @ScottishFinnishRadish Well then, that is what I will do. It's patently absurd, but okay. At what point can I contest this decision and what is the process for doing so? Bohemian Baltimore (talk) 13:46, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- The full instructions for appeals are included in the template, and there's no actual time limit on when you can appeal. Generally it breaks down to appealing on process, which is saying that the process that resulted in the sanction was flawed. Those are normally filed fairly shortly after the sanction is placed. I won't tell you not to do this, but if you go that route after an AE report with that much administrative participation it is likely to be looked upon poorly, whether filed at AN or AE. An appeal for a lessening or removal of the sanctions due to lessons learned and behaviors changed are normally looked upon favorably after at least six months have passed, but that isn't always the case. In your case, with three months of adherence to the topic ban I wouldn't be surprised if you could get the sanction scaled back to only applying to self-identification. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 14:00, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
- I don't think this changes SFR's analysis of the situation but besides AN/AE you could also appeal to ArbCom. A different kind of appeal would be to propose a rewording that would allow you to do these examples without changing it so you can't do the issues that were identified at AE. But I have no clue how to word such a thing myself. Barkeep49 (talk) 15:48, 15 November 2024 (UTC)
