Request reason:

if you look at the accounts that nishkid64 claim to be socks, they were simply accounts all created on April 9 in which I was trying to remove uncited categories, they never did anything wrong. For example look at the one edit done by User:Jacobson Phillip, or the other alleged socks like User:Williamson 1957. I have done 10,000+ edits to wikipedia and have created more than 40 articles.

Decline reason:

Technical evidence confirms that you are abusing multiple accounts. Hersfold (t/a/c) 21:06, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

At one time I did I make some socks to effect the result of an AFD, I didn't know we weren't allowed to do such. See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Joseph3333/Archive but it should be noted that the end result was for Java7837 account to be blocked for 31 hours. I have never done such behavior after that incident. It also seems to odd that me and User:SkyWriter were both blocked at around the same time, since me and him were both advocates of keeping a large amount of material on the, Converts to Judaism article, while none of the supporters of deleting the large section of material were indefed blocked. I think him and me were blocked so as to prevent us from expressing our opinion on the Converts to Judaism, talk page--Java7837 (talk) 21:13, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Come off it Java7837, you were using sockpuppets in AFDs back in June 2007, see Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Claimed Messianic prophecies of Jesus and even tried to hide the evidence when you were found out. - Fayenatic (talk) 21:48, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Sorry -- it appears that I did not read this thoroughly. Sock puppetry is a serious matter. I personally have an alternate sign in, but never to engage in the same categories. I have one sign in for historical and textual articles and another for philosophical and religious articles -- and never the twain shall meet. And several admins know both sign ins.
My question is, is there a remedy here? It's been my understanding in the past that an IP can be blocked from creating new accounts. Was I mistaken about that? And is Java permanently blocked? SkyWriter (Tim) (talk) 15:18, 14 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
Quite likely; and his edit-warring with two accounts (i.e., User:TazSmith) at List of converts to Judaism would be sufficient for such a ban, especially since he's done exactly the same thing previously and been blocked for it. --jpgordon∇∆∇∆ 16:35, 15 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Islamic view of Daniel

edit

The article Islamic view of Daniel has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Daniel plays absolutely no role whatsoever in islam. This article was created by a sockpuppet and banned user. Daniel is certainly not a prophet in Islam. Daniel is not mentioned in the Quran once. He is not mentioned in the sahih hadiths once. He is not even mentioned in any major hadith collections. The so-called hadith quoted is not a hadith, which is why he did not provide any citation. The primary editor of this article admits it seems a hoax [1] and has not objected to a deletion.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Proposed deletion of Islamic view of Hagar

edit

The article Islamic view of Hagar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article violates Wikipedia:Notability policy. There is nobody named sara in the Quran nor sahih hadths. The main contributors constitute of 1 sockpuppet and 1 editor who is notorious for his disruptive edits. Also he uses bible verses for an article about islam as his main points of reference. There are no secondary nor tertiary references either.

Proposed deletion of List of Qur'anic figures

edit

The article List of Qur'anic figures has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The list of Qur'anic figures is unnecessary since such a list is already at List of people mentioned by name in the Qur'an. The "possible" correspondences is entirely unsourced original research.

Motto of the Day Help Request April 2014

edit
Today's motto...

Why watch television when you can use Wikipedia?

Nominate one today!

Motto of the Day (WP:MOTD) is in a state of emergency and really needs your help! There are not enough editors who are reviewing or nominating mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review, and this probably means that you will notice a red link or “This space for rent” as our mottos for the next weeks and months.

Please take a moment to review the nominations and nominate your own new mottos at Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/In review and Wikipedia:Motto of the day/Nominations/'Specials. Any help would be appreciated! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 09:13, 29 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

This message has been sent by pjoef on behalf of Motto of the Day to all editors of the English Wikipedia who are showing MOTD's templates on their pages, and to all the participants to MOTD: (page, template, and category).

Proposed deletion of List of Baalei teshuva

edit

The article List of Baalei teshuva has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This topic already has its own category and its own page. A list is not needed as the only identifiable feature for inclusion is that the individual joined Orthodox Judaism later in life. Lists of people affiliated with a religion would be difficult to update and provide little value overall.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist.
