I've reverted your edits regarding GDP. In contrast to your edit summary ("Updated Infobox with CIA World Factbook stats about GDP"), you actually used older data (the factbook clearly states the numbers are "2006 est.", whereas the IMF source is dated October 2007).
Even if the CIA source was up to date, there's no reason to prefer it, being a non-academic, general source (which has been found to be erroneous in many cases), over a professional source, like the International Monetary Fund. There's a short discussion about GDP in the article's talk page, if you find it interesting. okedem (talk) 17:51, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

threaded code
editThank you for improving Wikipedia.
Your recent edit[1] to threaded code, at first glance, appears to be a good application of Refactor By Condensing Question Answer Pair.
Alas, I reverted that edit. See Talk:Threaded code#some_redundancies_cannot_be_eliminated_by_subroutines for details. --68.0.124.33 (talk) 14:46, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

I saw that you placed a speedy tag on this article. Would you mind looking at it again and seeing if the new information I've added to the article helps your assessment of it? Movingboxes (talk) 06:58, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
Pignorini
editWas an Italian senator and therefore unquestionably notable. I would in any case normally at least consider whether an article about an Italian found in the itWP is likely to be sufficiently notable, and read it very carefully. As reviewing administrator, I of course, declined the speedy. DGG (talk) 19:56, 26 August 2008 (UTC)
Thank you for noticing the article London, West Virginia. I declined the speedy because the Wikipedia convention is that all towns are notable. I added a reference and coordinates. -- Eastmain (talk) 02:12, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Pirate Badgers

CSD:A7
editHi. :) I came across your speedy deletion tag on CSQ Magazine, and I just wanted to point out to you that {{db-a7}} is specifically for people (individually or grouped) and websites. There is currently no consensus for speedily deleting other articles types under this criterion. Other articles that fail to assert notability should go through proposed deletion or articles for deletion. Thanks for keeping an eye out on article quality. :) --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:14, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
- It does cover companies--groups of people--but not their products, like books, magazines, albums, etc. It's been discussed several times adding those to A7, but so far consensus has not been reached to do so. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 19:28, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Hi Quanticle. I declined your A7-speedy tag of Michelle Biloon. The multiple television appearances were, in my view, an assertion of importance. Best, Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 22:25, 28 August 2008 (UTC)
Unicode
editYour replacement of unicodes by question marks in this edit did not appear to be constructive, and has been reverted. Please don't do that. —David Eppstein (talk) 03:19, 18 March 2009 (UTC)

editThanks for the corrections in the article dulce de batata. GreatFish (talk) 16:45, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Foreign-language articles
editNominating a page for deletion just because it is not in English is not standard practice in Wikipedia. Instead, we nominate them for translation and if after two weeks after listing no translator shows up then the page can be nominated for deletion. However, please note that if you understand the language the article is written in, all other deletion criteria still apply. -- Blanchardb -Me•MyEars•MyMouth- timed 00:38, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
