Tacyarg
Hello Tacyarg, thanks for having a look at the editing of Chris Korda article. To be honest I cannot see your point. The article is full of reliable sources. A lot of it relies on the old page. So it would be great if you point me in the right direction, where some more reliable sources are needed, before I re-add the article. Best Regards George — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:8108:C40:43B0:0:0:0:19CB (talk) 07:34, 25 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hello this is definitely wrong, I edited Chris Egan musician not Chris Korda? Why is there this confusion? Margotjackson13 (talk) 22:01, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
Will Brill
editI cited a source that says the following to the link I posted in it (direct quote)
"But rewind a couple of decades and Brill, a Menlo Park native who went to Gunn High School in Palo Alto..."
I even linked to the paragraph via a text link.
Is this citation not enough? There are no other articles out there I could find that link Will Brill to Gunn, but this looks citable enough to me, even if it is a subarticle in the page.
Hello - thank you for getting in touch, or reading this Talk page. I often reply to messages here either on the Talk page of the editor who posted, or on the Talk page of the relevant article. I try to remember to note that here, but sometimes forget - so if it doesn't look as if I've replied here, I may have done so elsewhere. Tacyarg (talk) 11:17, 25 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Tacyarg
- I have messaged you regarding an edit to the Mulberry School for Girls that I made. Are you able to support/respond offer some advice as to how I get the page updated which currently displays incorrect information. I do work for the Trust that oversees the school so not sure if you are rejecting all the changes because of that under COI? Is the basic rule that organisations who have pages are not allowed to update them even if the details displayed our incorrect? I did make the mistake of adding URLs to every mention of the school/trust name but all other changes are just factual information. Thanks so much. Julie. JulesMST (talk) 09:37, 8 April 2024 (UTC)

- Hi Tacyarg
- I am messaging about updates to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shirley_Scott_(international_law_academic) that have been removed. I am making the changes on behalf of Professor Scott, to update her professional experience. However, they have been removed as "unreferenced". Can you let me know what we need to do to have the changes accepted so I can advise Professor Scott? Thank you. Cinden. CindenL (talk) 23:16, 9 June 2024 (UTC)

Helpdesk thread
editHi, did you see Mike Turnbull's answer on your recent Helpdesk thread on how to detect a zero-width space? "In the source editor, with syntax highlighting on (pen icon to the left of "Advanced" in the edit window) the space appears as a red dot. I've included a copy here as an example. [[Heathrow Airport]] only visible in edit mode." TSventon (talk) 12:00, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- It is also worth mentioning (which I only discovered later) that other unusual characters also appear as red dots AND you can hover-over them in the editing window to see the Unicode they correspond to (u200b in the case TSventon added here). Mike Turnbull (talk) 16:54, 1 July 2021 (UTC)
- That's very helpful, thank you both. I haven't used syntax highlighting so that's also useful to learn about. Tacyarg (talk) 09:32, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
New page reviewer granted
editHi Tacyarg. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group. Please check back at WP:PERM in case your user right is time limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page. In addition, please remember:
- Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
- If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
- Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. – bradv🍁 01:01, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

Photo requests in Southampton
editHi! I saw you were a participant in the Hampshire WikiProject. Do you know of any Wikimedians in Southampton, Hampshire who could do photo requests? I've been looking for people to photograph the Marine Accident Investigation Branch headquarters complexes.
Thank you, WhisperToMe (talk) 03:43, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you! Based on what I see on Google Maps, maybe one shot of the overall building and any shots of specific signs indicating government agencies would be great for the MAIB article. I also have photo requests for the previous buildings that MAIB occupied (Mountbatten House and Carlton House). WhisperToMe (talk) 22:11, 6 March 2023 (UTC)

Westfield College
editHi there. You recently linked a name (Jane Coker) in the alumni list for this article to a non-existent WP page, with the edit summary "redlink for women in red". Could you explain this, please? I am not familar with your terminology. Do you intend to create a new page, in which case wouldn't it be better to create it before adding a link to it? I am genuinely curious. Masato.harada (talk) 09:39, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for your explanation. I wasn't aware of the Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red project, but sounds like a good initiative. I suggest the explanation for any future redlinking should be linked to the project, to help others who are as ignorant as me. Masato.harada (talk) 13:24, 28 October 2023 (UTC)

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.
Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
Thanks for the welcome message

Idea
editMay I suggest that together we fix this article since agreed, it lacks. Also just because something is tagged doesn't mean it should be removed. Finding refs is a good thing. Summerdays1 (talk) 08:24, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
- Here's an example. Evidently the "original research" purported to have been undertaken was done by a Britisher. This is a possible source; as you can see you have to be a subscriber to view the contents. Reiterating, removing information is less desirable than sourcing it. ft.com/content/6ca2b8d8-c42d-11e9-ae6e-a26d1d0455f4 Summerdays1 (talk) 08:29, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
- Responded on user's Talk page. Tacyarg (talk) 10:45, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
- Start with the idea that you are wrong. Begin with why do you have red links on your user page. With the Getty stuff, again, there must be a better plan than what you are doing.Summerdays1 (talk) 13:09, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
- I am not talking about the red link SuggestBot ones. You put that you are working on red link articles on your user page.Summerdays1 (talk) 15:23, 21 November 2023 (UTC)
- You seem open to dialogue. May I point out other editors have disagreed with you? I do concur that the store.getty links do not need to be in the article or have to be there. You are saying if I understand it correctly, that in a list of albums there should be no links, right? Are you able to find an article with links like the ones we're discussing? I am telling you that out of the tens of thousands of such articles I am certain others have the links. Also if you insist I suppose I could just move these links to another part of the article and you would be fine with that. Summerdays1 (talk) 09:38, 12 January 2024 (UTC)
- One of your statements says the "links" show where music may be purchased, bought. Who is buying music now? They stream it... As already said the store.getty ones are gone. Also you were brought to the Gettys' articles by an editor who asked you on one of their talk pages to look at the article. Said user also asked another person to look too. Thus you were somewhat already influenced (maybe not rightly). You look for things which appear promotional. That's not something which is always super obvious; in this case mentioning facts and providing information is not commercial. Also with "original research", did you look for sources?Summerdays1 (talk) 11:59, 12 January 2024 (UTC)

Reverting promotional edit
editHi, back in September you reverted (entirely correctly) what seemed to be a promotional edit by user NicolePunch on the page for 'Nigel Wilson (Businessman)'. I note that yesterday the same user made a number of very similar changes (and also went further than previously by deleting some properly sourced factual material that was on the page). I'm not sure of the protocols in this sort of situation but I wondered if you would be prepared to undo the 3 recent edits by user NicolePunch and restore the page to its previous state. The user seems to have a potential conflict of interest, as you (and others) have previously noted, and has a history of having edits reverted on this page (dating back to Oct 2022). Axad12 (talk) 12:26, 10 November 2023 (UTC)

Why are you Deleting Confirmed Information
editYou are purposefully deleting confirmed, verified, and cited information from outside sources. You have done a lot of work here but doing this means that there might many misinformation out there that you are contributing to.

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message
editHello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}}

Welcome Message
editHey there @Tacyarg!
Just wanted to ask if I can also leave welcome messages on new user pages!
Have a nice 2nd January 2024,
What's wrong with Linda McQuaig's Wikipedia page?
editHi!
Several years ago, I added info, and references, to Linda McQuaig's Wikipedia page.
You added
to this page a few days ago.
The way you left it, I am at a loss to figure out what the specific problems are.
Could YOU make the changes to add the necessary references?
Or: if you told me what statements need additional references, I would be willing to research them. MathPerson (talk) 19:48, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

Bancroft's School (Tia Kofi)
editHi, with regards to the edit you reversed about Tia Kofi, as a student at the school I can say that this person did go to Bancroft's; this is known within the school. However, this obviously isn't a reference, and I haven't managed to find anything online. All but one of the famous Old Bancroftians do not have references attached to them. editA few months ago you placed a connected contributor template on the page of Amanda Craig (I think because it had been quite substantially edited by a user called AmandaPCraig.) AI text recognition
editHi Tacyarg, I noticed your edit summary, "96% chance AI generated". I've seen some AI generated text in articles before and that was pretty clunky, but here I didn't spot it. Not that I am doubting you judgment! How did you recognize AI? Is there some software you're using that you came to 96% chance? Thanks, and happy editing. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 21:15, 12 March 2024 (UTC)
- Hi @Soetermans:, I think it was the combination of grandiose statements and not much content.
played a crucial role ... Today, corrections officers fulfill a diverse range of responsibilities ...
And something about the structure, thinking about it - moving to a kind of conclusion. Then when I looked at the refs, although I couldn't access full content, it didn't look as if they covered general prison officer history in that way. The tool I used was Copyleaks, though it's just the first one I found which is free. Thanks for asking! Tacyarg (talk) 21:31, 12 March 2024 (UTC)- Thanks, this helps. AI's getting better all the time, I'm glad others like you can still see through it quickly. I'll be sure to use Copyleaks if I'm in doubt. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 12:12, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
Do not remove other people's work
editYou posted on my TalkPage:-
Hello, I'm Tacyarg. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Mothering Sunday, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Tacyarg (talk) 15:30, 9 March 2024 (UTC)
Yes, you made a mistake. Again.
In cases like this, you should never just remove someone else's work - that is unkind; you SHOULD simply add the standard "Citation required" flag - or, better still, find a reference yourself and add it. The whole point of being able to edit Wikipedia is to IMPROVE it, which deletion rarely does. RobinClay (talk) 11:58, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
- (talk page watcher) RobinClay, I think you are referring to this. Tacyarg was absolutely correct in removing it altogether, it was unsourced. It is not "unkind", one of Wikipedia's core guidelines is verifiability. The WP:BURDEN is on the person adding material, in this case you. You can't go tell another to add a citation needed tag or tell them to go do your work for you. It hasn't been deleted, it's right there in the article's history. You can still look it up and add a source. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 12:10, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
Autopatrolled granted
editHi Tacyarg, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! —Tom Morris (talk) 18:17, 18 March 2024 (UTC)

Concerns
editI’m seeking to address some continuous and recent edits to an article that you have made. Of course, as a vigorous and clearly fervid Wikipedia member, you thoroughly know the rules; but I am confused about your inconsistent implementation of these rules.
You have discarded every single piece of information about the school on its own article. Surely, the purpose of a Wiki page is to display relevant, up-to-date, current and recent information? I’m struggling to understand the purpose of removing peoples’ thorough and well-sourced edits, just to add your own, seemingly preferential style.
Also, you claim that Ofsted reports and Headteacher information don’t belong in the lead, but simply what belongs in the lead instead of this? Surely, the purpose of a lead is to display main information? Your comments about promotion and bias don’t make sense. Headteacher appointments are appropriate information to share and Ofsted reports, in case you aren’t aware; are written by completely impartial, professional and experienced educational figures. If you have concerns about any biases of Ofsted inspectors, you should contact the national department instead and you can do so here: https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/ofsted/about/complaints-procedure#:~:text=To%20complain%20about%20a%20childcare,uk%20or%200300%20123%204666..
In addition, you have repeated the name of the ‘predecessor schools’ in a new section. These schools are already listed within the lead, therefore why have you blatantly repeated this information?
Clearly, you take some issue with boldened and italic text. This can very easily be altered though, rather than completely erasing every single piece of somebody’s thorough and hard worked efforts.
As I’m sure you are aware, communication and interaction between users on this site is vital. We can share ideas, address problems and concerns whilst maintaining respectful standards and upholding some degree of consideration. I feel that pedantically removing information, without even paying attention to the authors own perspective, is the wrong approach of any Wikipedia member. Your experience unfortunately doesn’t make you above anybody, and certainly doesn’t mean you can completely erase somebody’s factual, relevant and rigorous edits.
I sincerely hope that you can reflect on these mistakes, and address them appropriately. The dispute resolution page features an abundance of information, which may be able to help you. It states you must be open to compromise, assume good faith and discuss on talk pages. Hopefully you can re-familiarise yourself with this vital information.
Thank you for at least attempting to provide your presumed expertise. I sincerely hope that you can reflect on your edits, and that we can reach some form of civil agreement. Jonmckenziex (talk) 08:27, 24 March 2024 (UTC)

New Pages Patrol newsletter April 2024
editHello Tacyarg,
Backlog update: The October drive reduced the article backlog from 11,626 to 7,609 and the redirect backlog from 16,985 to 6,431! Congratulations to Schminnte, who led with over 2,300 points.
Following that, New Page Patrol organized another backlog drive for articles in January 2024. The January drive started with 13,650 articles and reduced the backlog to 7,430 articles. Congratulations to JTtheOG, who achieved first place with 1,340 points in this drive.
Looking at the graph, it seems like backlog drives are one of the only things keeping the backlog under control. Another backlog drive is being planned for May. Feel free to participate in the May backlog drive planning discussion.
It's worth noting that both queues are gradually increasing again and are nearing 14,034 articles and 22,540 redirects. We encourage you to keep contributing, even if it's just a single patrol per day. Your support is greatly appreciated!
2023 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2023 cup with 17,761 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 50/day. There was one Platinum Award (10,000+ reviews), 2 Gold Awards (5000+ reviews), 6 Silver (2000+), 8 Bronze (1000+), 30 Iron (360+) and 70 more for the 100+ barnstar. Hey man im josh led on redirect reviews by clearing 36,175 of them. For the full details, see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone for their efforts in reviewing!
WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers deployed the rewritten NewPagesFeed in October, and then gave the NewPagesFeed a slight visual facelift in November. This concludes most major work to Special:NewPagesFeed, and most major work by the WMF Moderator Tools team, who wrapped up their major work on PageTriage in October. The WMF Moderator Tools team and volunteer software developers will continue small work on PageTriage as time permits.
Recruitment: A couple of the coordinators have been inviting editors to become reviewers, via mass-messages to their talk pages. If you know someone who you'd think would make a good reviewer, then a personal invitation to them would be great. Additionally, if there are Wikiprojects that you are active on, then you can add a post there asking participants to join NPP. Please be careful not to double invite folks that have already been invited.
Reviewing tip: Reviewers who prefer to patrol new pages within their most familiar subjects can use the regularly updated NPP Browser tool.

Thank you & Advice please
editAppreciate the comments and suggested corrections for Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts about non-neutral language. I'm new to the auditing business and plan to review, research and contribute about all UK Drama School pages. I've since corrected the language use - and hope it's suitable.
I also noted through looking at previous contributions that multiple attempts have been made by other users to relocate/change the title of the page from 'Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts' to simply 'Italia Conti'. However these have all been rejected (various reasons). It does seem true that 'Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts' is a defunct name, and after phoning the school today, the confirmed that the business name has changed to simply 'Italia Conti' It seems that one reason is that 'Italia Conti' is the name of the actress who founded the school, her full name is 'Italia Emily Stella Conti'. So the page couldn't move without either changing their title. It seems to me that the most sensible thing to do is to change both pages: 'Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts' to 'Italia Conti' 'Italia Conti' (the actresss) to 'Italia Emily Stella Conti' - however a previous user said that this is in defiance of common name. however there are a number of examples of full names being used, and it also seems that people searching Italia Conti would in the first instance be looking for the school before the person.
Do you agree? Being new to this, how might one suggest a double change so as to not flag an error on both issues? DramaSchoolAuditor (talk) 17:09, 11 April 2024 (UTC)

Carla Ul(b)rich
editGreetings, Tacyarg!
As a favor for an acquaintance (Carla Ulbrich), I updated her page to reflect her stage name ("Carla Ulrich"). She had asked publicly for such help via her Facebook group "Smart Alecks", since she did not know how to do such a page move.
You have raised objection, however, over need for source(s) and/or possible COI. How should I go about adjusting this? As I noted, this stemmed from a discussion on her Facebook page, whose information is publicly available; could that be cited as a source, then? (Also, if needed, is there a Wiki-acceptable way to cite a private communication as a source, with the consent of the other party?)
Concerning COI: as I said, she is an online acquaintance, with no close personal ties. I did the work for her simply in the spirit of helpfulness. Should I enlist the aid of some editor who I know has no connection with her, to be the hand that makes the official edit? (perhaps even you?)

editHello, I just wanted to drop you a note because a couple of resources suggest you're the most recent editor to have attempted to clean up this article. I stumbled across the article myself earlier this weekend, and ended up going through the whole thing and largely cleaning it up. It was a far greater challenge than I first thought it would be! And would have been even greater if it hadn't been for your work on it first, it appears. So I just wanted to let you know that your efforts were appreciated and have been built on, and give you the opportunity to have another look at the article and either check my work or make any further edits you think suitable (I'm aware there's still some polishing that could be done, but I need a break at this point XD ). best regards, JustAnotherCompanion (talk) 23:58, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you for your kind words. You may be right regarding that specific tag tag; I removed a couple of completely objective tags, and the ones I left were those that are (arguably) subjective, on the grounds that I am or could be seen as being too close to the article currently to make a fair judgement on those. recent reversions of edits
editHello, I wanted to address some of your reversions that removed my fact-based edits to the Coach New York page, Sustainable Fashion page, and Cotton Recycling page.
Coach New York: I added information about a new development in the comapny history, namely their launch of a novel sub-brand Coachtopia, and included several partners -- all mentioned in Coach's own press release about the sub-brand (https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/introducing-coachtopia-a-new-world-of-circular-craft-from-coach-powered-by-community-building-towards-a-better-future-for-our-planet-301802641.html) -- that were contacted to realize this offshoot. Given that Coach themselves not only announed the new brand publically, but also listed their partners, I'm confused as to why this addition to the Company History section was removed. Can you shed any light?
Sustainable Fashion: There are a six companies specifically listed as working exclusively with pre-consumer recycled materials but none mentioned in referece to working with pre- AND post-consumer materials, which the article suggests is more advaned and sustainable. I simply added an example of a company working with both pre and post consumer textile waste to give balance to the discourse and made additional small edits so that I wasn't suggesting that Everywhere Apparel emerged as a direct result of new EU regulations. Can you explain why this was reverted? I only wanted to give an example of a company where there was none (but plentny on the exclusively pre-consumer recycling side) and make it clear that that company's genesis had nothing to do with EU regulations.
Cotton recycling: The article already specifically mentioned a three-cocmpany partnership that had achieved a 40% recycled cotton fiber content in their materials, which is far below the standard that other companies have achieved in the intervening years. I provided a source from the third-party audit to verify the MUCH higher reycled cotton fiber content achieved by another company, so I'm curious as to why some companies are able to be directly mentioned and others, with much more significant achievments in the field, are not. Please clarify.
Thank you for your time.

editYou mentioned that you had removed some links. Would you be good enough to restore them please? We would like as many external links as possible for this page. It represents her lifetime's work and acknowledgement of such. Many thanks! Daniel B Borenstein
editHello Tacyarg, I hope this note finds you well. I'm just dropping you a line regarding an article where we were both active earlier this month, Daniel B. Borenstein. I've been in touch with the subject on the article talk page. It seems that the circumstances in which the article was created were rather odd, and that somebody approached him completely out of the blue. This raises some doubt re: whether there was really any COI involved. The gentleman is also not entirely happy about some of the material in the article/other tags, and I think he may have a point. I wondered if you might take a look at the correspondence when you have the opportunity and see if you think anything can be done. I'm not sure what would be best and would welcome your input. Kind regards, Axad12 (talk) 22:09, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks, Axad12 (talk · contribs). I've just seen your reply there. Yes, it sounds like he was naive rather than intending to manage his own page; shame about his use of words like "innovative" and "unique", which I think pinged both our radars. I'm happy for the UPE and CoI tags to come off, if you are. As you'll have seen, I'm sure, the article is not very different from how it was when originally created by an SPA, but it does read reasonably neutrally and he is clearly notable. Tacyarg (talk) 22:38, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for getting back to me. I'm grateful for your input and I agree with you 100%.
- Any thoughts on the references that he was trying to add (i.e. academic papers written by himself)?
- Under normal circumstances a user trying to add his own work to an article where he is the subject would be a classic case of non-independent sources and/or self-cite spam. However, under the apparently rather unusual circumstances here I'm inclined to view it as a genuine attempt to resolve some of the issue around an absence of citations on the article. Axad12 (talk) 05:04, 20 August 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, I've added the three papers in as publications. Took off the two tags and updated on Talk page. Thanks for your help with this; I think we've reached a better version of the article now. Tacyarg (talk) 05:06, 21 August 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, agreed.
- As ever, many thanks for your assistance. Axad12 (talk) 05:14, 21 August 2024 (UTC)

St Patrick's College
editHi @Tacyarg. You flagged your concern about lack of sources for St Patrick's College, Campbelltown. Have tried to improve accordingly. Noelframer (talk) 09:47, 23 August 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you, Noelframer (talk · contribs). The article looks much better, and I have removed the tags. Welcome to Wikipedia! Best wishes, Tacyarg (talk) 09:52, 23 August 2024 (UTC)

Hi Tacyarg,
I wanted to follow up on what you said about the article I wrote for Minister Charmaine Williams. As it is a biography of the person herself with factual and cited resources from entirely public and unbiased articles I can't understand why it is being unapproved. Does the user themself get to update on their own life or staff? The original article that showcases her in a white suit seems to have subtle inserts of bias Like this: ". Toronto Star. Retrieved 3 November 2022.
"Doug Ford reveals Ontario cabinet that includes a new health minister – and his nephew" it also highlights articles from cbc and other impartial news reports like cp24 (why are sources from the news which we know lies and is inaccurate sometimes ok?), where mine linked Toronto metropolitan university's article that didn't even mention her but simply the facts of their new med school that resulted from help with the provincial government and the very public government of ontario sites that run our country so require accuracy. She is a public figure but also this is her bio, so it should have accurate information on her career. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trees32 (talk • contribs) 13:54, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
Francisco Vallejo Pons
editHi Tacyarg,
My friend Francisco Vallejo Pons ASK ME about putting in english wikipedia the SAME content that he has in spanish wikipedia.
It is biography, not a fairy tale. He don't undestand why its removed every single time.
It's incredible that wikipedia can not have his real biography instead this short description.
Unbelievebable.

Caterina Valente
editHallo Tracytag, I hope this message finds you well. I have recently noticed that all the corrections made by our office, representing the estate of the late Caterina Valente, have been deleted. It was quite surprising to see that the page has reverted to a version filled with incorrect and approximate information, much of which appears to be sourced from tabloids. Unfortunately, this version omits many significant moments from her extraordinary career. We sincerely wish for the wiki page to reflect accurate and comprehensive information about Caterina Valente. Could you please guide us on how we can correct these inaccuracies? Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for your time and help. - I have posted the conflict of interest guidance on your Talk page, but, in short, please request changes on the article's Talk page, and provide references for the changes. Hope that helps. Tacyarg (talk) 07:53, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
Jeremy Strohmeyer
editHello Tracy, thank you for your feedback regarding my edit of Jeremy Strohmeyer. I added a link to a Facebook page that explains why the case reemerged after 20 years of being solved. If Facebook links are not allowed, please let me know as I plan to edit more article. I am passionate about research and information. SilentObserver2024 (talk) 10:05, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

I appreciate your research related to the copyedit copypaste template, but the passage in question just feels like a text dump. I found this local magazine, which has verbatim passages, but was unfortunately released just after the WP edits. I have a feeling that if there were access to earlier issues, we'd also find it in one dated before the WP edits. I also found this which has some of the same passages and cites various sources but not WP. Mapsax (talk) 01:14, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

editNo big deal but I would have appreciated a note about the VfD for this article, as I'd put some effort into it. All the best: Rich Farmbrough 16:58, 17 October 2024 (UTC).
Banner placed on site
editI see a Banner I tried to removed from the Xiaolu Guo site is back in place because of some issue with External Links. I don't really understand what the problem is. Are these links "excessive" or are they "inappropriate"? Or both. How am I supposed to know what "excessive" means here? If I simply delete them all the External Links, will that result in the Banner being removed? Raskolnikov2003 (talk) 13:21, 18 October 2024 (UTC)
Invitation to participate in a research
editHello,
The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.
You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.
The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .
Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Updates to Woolf College, Kent and its notability
editHi,Tacyarg
I noticed that the Woolf College, Kent page was previously redirected to University of Kent due to notability concerns, and that this decision was made without a discussion on the talk page. Since then, I’ve made several updates to improve its sourcing and demonstrate notability, including adding multiple secondary sources and academic references.
I see that you’ve now created an AfD Notice, regarding notability concerns again. I have reviewed the talk discussion where you raised issues with the lack of independent coverage of the college. However, I’ve added several sources since your initial redirect attempt, and it seems the updated version of the page with these concerns addressed may not have been reviewed yet. If there are specific areas or concerns that I haven’t addressed, I’d really appreciate any further feedback.
I’m committed to improving the article and aligning it with Wikipedia’s standards, so I’d be happy to continue working on it. Thank you for your time and for reviewing the changes.

Updates to Steph De Lander
editGood afternoon. I was asked by Steph herself to edit her page. The info comes directly from her, especially info about her early life that isn't in any articles or interviews. Info that was also restructured and reformatted was removed as well which does not make any sense to me. I am not sure why some things are allowed to have no sources previously before I edited, but mine get removed. 32.220.253.107 (talk) 18:16, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
