AfD nomination of Leah Luv

edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Leah Luv. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Leah Luv. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:12, 6 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Unreferenced BLPs

edit

Hello Valrith! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 139 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:

  1. Mai Goto (voice actress) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL
  2. Jan Von Arx - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Re: Stephanie Adams

edit

I don't see how their argument holds any water at all. The IP, according to their edit summary, is claiming that we have no way of knowing that the press releases are coming from Adams directly. But they're at her site! The IP's edit should be reverted, IMO. Dismas|(talk) 03:14, 2 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

You are now a Reviewer

edit

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 01:19, 18 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Anika Knudsen

edit

Please do not remove references from articles, such as you did for Anika Knudsen! If you feel that an inline reference is out of place, you can for example use Template:Failed verification. Regards, Tomas e (talk) 12:54, 20 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

That template does not appear to be appropriate, as it claims it should be used when a cited source contradicts a claim it's supposed to support... What policy are you referring to in making your statement? Valrith (talk) 03:26, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Ashley Blue

edit

I'm at work and thus can't check questionable sources. You're usually on at this time, I think, so I'm just asking you to check on the edits being made to the Ashley Blue article tonight. Thanks, Dismas|(talk) 00:20, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Very questionable indeed. Adding 2 full paragraphs on a supposed controversy (which is not a controversy at all) to an article about someone that is not 2 paragraphs long itself just isn't reasonable, even if the issue were important (it's not)... Valrith (talk) 03:24, 21 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

I agree with your "needs editing to read less like a promo/psa", I've removed the "Board of Directors" section. Let me know if there are further tweaks you'd like to see. - RoyBoy 02:24, 26 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Gettting Wikimedians to the Olympic Games

edit

Hi. I am part of an effort to get Wikimedians access to the 2016 Summer Olympics as accredited reporters and photographers. Part of this effort includes covering the 2012 Summer Paralympics. Two Wikimedians have credentials to attend these games as reporters through Wikimedia Australia. As English Wikipedia does not allow original reporting, this is largely through Wikinews with a project page found at Wikinews:Paralympic Games. If you are interested in helping to get Wikimedians to the next Summer Olympics,I'd encourage you to assist with Wikinews efforts, and also to work on all language 2012 Summer Paralympic Wikipedia articles before, during and after the Games to demonstrate a track record of success. Thank you. --LauraHale (talk) 04:05, 17 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

Happy Halloween!!!

edit

Wilhelmina Will has given you some caramel and a candy apple! Caramel and candy-coated apples are fun Halloween treats, and promote WikiLove on Halloween. Hopefully these have made your Halloween (and the proceeding days) much sweeter. Happy Halloween!

'"On Psych, A USA Network TV series Episode 8, The Tao of Gus, Season 6, Shawn refers to pumpkins as "Halloween Apples" because he thinks all round fruits are a type of apple.

If Trick-or-treaters come your way, add {{subst:Halloween apples}} to their talkpage with a spoooooky message!

Cheers! "We could read for-EVER; reading round the wiki!" (talk) 18:29, 31 October 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Greshthegreat (talkcontribs) Reply
