Václav Němeček (born 25 January 1967 in Hradec Králové) is a Czech former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.[2] He played for Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic national teams. As a combined total for them, Němeček played 60 matches and scored six goals. At club level, he played for FC Hradec Králové, AC Sparta Prague, Toulouse FC, Servette Geneva and Dalian Wanda FC.

Biography
editNěmeček was born in Hradec Králové, and grew up in a nearby village of Libčany.[3]
As a footballer of Sparta Prague, Němeček played in a 3–2 loss against FC Barcelona at the 1991–92 UEFA Cup.[4] He spent three seasons in Toulouse between 1992 and 1995[5] before joining Servette afterwards.[6] At international level, Němeček participated at the 1990 FIFA World Cup and UEFA Euro 1996.[7]
After football, he took the exams and obtained the license of the footballer with his former Servette teammate, Walter Fernandez.[8]
