I've listed this article for peer review because I believe it's close to FA status. I recently nominated a similar article to FA status and it was mentioned that it could benefit from a peer review. Any help getting it to FA level so it will be a smooth nomination would be very welcome. Thanks in advance. Mattximus (talk) 16:33, 21 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Assuming this article covers all available literature on the genus and species, then it is pretty close to FA status. I applaud you for taking on the task of bringing such an obscure topic to FAC.
Pachysentis is a genus of Acanthocephala (thorny-headed worms, also known as spiny-headed worms) that parasitize primates and carnivorous mammals... Shouldn't it be "a genus of acanthocephalan" or "a genus in Acanthocephala" here? And if it parasitizes mammals of the order Carnivora, then call them carnivorans, not carnivorous mammals, and link it to Carnivora.

What is the type species and type species authority, and can you please add those to the taxobox? I added the parameters for you.

Animal names that are not proper nouns, e.g. Western diamondback rattlesnake, should not be capitalized.

It is synonymous with Prosthenorchis spirula Is it [P. dollfusi] a junior synonym of Pr. spirula or is Pr. spirula a junior synonym of P. dollfusi? Please rephrase (and link junior synonym)
The species is named after the genus of the host Procyon it was found infesting. I suggest rephrasing to, "The species is named after the genus of the host (Procyon) it was found infesting." Note that genus names are always italicized.
Good call, that is better wording. Done.
It looks like many of the species were originally described as part of another genus in 1950. I think you should mention this in the taxonomy section, and elaborate on why they were moved to a new genus. Actually, it could in general use some more information on the taxonomic history of the genus.
