It is endemic to Presidente Olegário, Brazil. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests, moist savanna, subtropical or tropical moist shrubland, and rivers. It is threatened by habitat loss for agriculture (crops and livestock), logging and agricultural pollution.
