History
editRadio began its activity in Burundi in 1961 with Radio Burundi, when the country was still a Belgian colony. Television made its debut, however, in 1984, long after its independence.[1]
RTNB operates two radio stations and a television channel, which offer educational and information programs, as well as TV series, talk shows, cartoons and other entertainment programs.[2]
In June 2013, Burundi began operations for the migration of television from analogue to digital technology, which was completed by the end of 2014.[3]
