Angela Lei Ilagan Atienza[2] Valdepeñas (born July 26, 1981), better known as Chi Atienza, is a Filipino journalist, TV host, and politician. She was recently worked in PTV.

editShe is a graduate of political science at De La Salle University.[3]
Women's organization
editShe is known for being the director of Kababaihan ng Maynila (transl. The Women of Manila), an organization that was established by her father, former Manila Mayor Lito Atienza, to give livelihood for some women of the city.[4]
TV career
editShe started working in advertisements shown in ABS-CBN, notably in early 2000s.[5] Later, she was in the Star Circle discovery, but later quit when she married.[6]
She notably worked in PTV as one of the hosts of its morning program Bagong Pilipinas program. She was later assigned as one of the hosts of its replacement, Rise and Shine Pilipinas.[7] She also formerly worked in GMA, especially in Maynila (when she standing as substitute to her father in 2019).[7][8]
Political career
editAtienza was supposed to run for councilor of Manila from the 5th district under incumbent Mayor Honey Lacuna's Asenso Manileño ticket for the 2025 Manila local elections.[9] However, she was later selected by former Mayor Isko Moreno to be his vice mayoralty running mate for the elections.[10][11] She also sworn in as one of new members of Moreno's party Aksyon Demokratiko.[12]
Personal life
editAtienza married Von Valdepeñas (former one-term Los Baños, Laguna councilor), and they have three children.[5][6]
