Symbols of New South Wales

New South Wales is one of Australia's states, and has established several state symbols and emblems.[1]

Kookaburra
Launched on 4 May 2000 as the state tartan. Recorded prior to the commencement of the Scottish Register of Tartans (SRT) in 2009, and also registered in the SRT as a district tartan.[2][3] However, it is not officially adopted by the government of New South Wales.[4]
