editHello! I am a student currently working on writing an assignment for my online communities class. I was interested in writing an article for 3racha as composers due to their production background. I was wondering if you'd agree to this, or would rather have a section under the stray kids wiki page?
(note: I mentioned you because I've seen you active on the 3racha talk pages previously! user:Evaders99 user:Galobtter)

- The article has to exist by meeting basic notability requires WP:MUSICBIO. If they are notable as composers, then there must be "significant coverage" from "reliable" sources "independent" of their subject. WP:GNG. So if you do the research and make sure it actually has the background that makes it notable, it will be added. You can either start the content in your sandbox or a draft. - Hello! I did my research and drafted this, and moved into the page after my professor went through it! Please look over it when you get the chance and let me know what you think! Thank you! Evaders99 8isfate (talk) 18:57, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
- The article right now doesn't really provide significant evidence why they are notable outside of Stray Kids. Only one paragraph is really about their history - the individual bios and their songwriting credits are okay but not really meaningful. As a group, why should someone care? They write songs for their own groups - but what have those songs done? What critical response have they gotten as composers? Every notable album that is linked is tied to Stray Kids right now. - Thanks for your notes! I'll try to draft up a more cohesive paragraph into their significance and get it in here and re-tag you when its ready! 8isfate (talk) 23:44, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
- @8isfate: please note that the majority of the sources in the article as it stands are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia. Links to the videos on YouTube or the songs on Soundcloud just show the songs exist, not that they are notable. Genius is unreliable as it fails WP:USERG. Melon is just an online music store, being able to buy the music doesn't make it notable. Sources from JYP Entertainment are not independent as they are the group's own management company. Basically all five of these sources should be removed from the article – it's very likely the article will be nominated for deletion if it stays with so many sources that fail WP:RS. Article Review
editHi 8isfate! Very nice start to your article. First off, I know really nothing about Stray Kids, so it was super interesting to learn more about them and their members.
I want to start off by saying I considered what others on your talk page were saying about how having a whole other page for a subunit might seem a little too much, but after reading through your article, you had a lot of substantive information that would constitute for having 3RACHA for having their own page. Just like some of the criteria of the perfect article, I think your article was clear, precise, an appropriate length, and branches out so others can learn about 3RACHA and the rest of Stray Kids. I think you could argue (and a more expert Wikipedian can clarify) that 3RACHA could just be a section on Stray Kids page. But, I think because 3RACHA exists outside of just Stray Kids because they produced for other artists, their own page is valid. I also thought your use of the pictures from the creative commons added a nice touch to the article.
I think your sources are reliable, but that is coming from someone who is (kind-of) part of the stan twitter/k-pop community, so I might be biased. I think because you have a lot of sources, it makes up for the fact they are not English sources. I think all your claims are grounded in fact, but your sources are definitely something to watch out for, especially since some Wikipedians have already noticed.
A concern I have is that you may need a tad more information about them. The problem with that is I'm not sure how much information about them is already covered on the Stray Kids page, or if you were to find more information about them, it would fit better on the Stray Kids page. I think you have a lot of information, and the table with all of their discography is very impressive. Maybe a little more about them in the history section?
I think a lot comes down to whether or not to keep this a 3RACHA page or use this to build upon the Stray Kids page. I personally think that if I wanted more information on a subunit, a separate page with info about it would be helpful, but the biographical information used for the members would also fit nicely in the Stray Kids page. Up to you (and Reagle and your fellow Wikipedians)! - TM21NU (talk) 03:06, 9 November 2020 (UTC)
