editIf Agostino Barbarigo died in 1501, how could he have fought at Lepanto in 1571? 202.175.228.65 12:21, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
- That´s a good question. There is the same mistake on the italian pages it:Battaglia_di_Lepanto,_ordine_di_battaglia#Ala_sinistra. It seems it has been an other Agostino. -- 87.162.177.230 11:19, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
Portrait attributed to Giovanni Bellini
editThis portrait is not mentioned in the Cambridge Guide to Giovanni Bellini and does not look to me like his work. More information is needed to support this or it should be removed. Waysider1925 (talk) 12:53, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
- Further investigation indicates that this portrait (at Budapest) is now attributed to Marco Basaiti, but still as a portrait of Doge Agostino Barbarigo. I am looking for more information before amending the caption.

- After looking at all the books on Giovanni Bellini which I could find there was not one which included this portrait as his work. Bernard Berenson attributed it to Marco Basaiti but I cannot find that the Fine Arts Museum in Budapest now accepts that attribution. I have altered the caption.
