Creation of Angling in Yellowstone National Park Article

edit

Because the main Yellowstone National Park article allowed for very limited discussion of angling in the park, I thought it appropriate to create this new article devoted to the history and current state of angling in the park. I tried to avoid a lot of minute detail on individual waters with the hope that separate articles on each could do so. (As some have). Additionally you can see that some of the major waters in the park don't have articles, something I hope to rectify. Finally, I don't think this article should become a dumping ground for every fly pattern ever used in Yellowstone, to discuss any specific fly fishing technique or to create links to outfitters or other 3rd party interests. The intent was to expand on the limited coverage the topic got in the main Yellowstone article. I hope others may contribute. Tight Lines--Mike Cline (talk) 19:19, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

I think any book that is cited as a reference for the article needn't be included in the Suggested Reading list; it's redundant. Especially since several of them are also discussed in the text of the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.169.237.99 (talk) 06:44, 15 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

You are correct, and I have removed the duplicates. GA-RT-22 (talk) 16:04, 11 November 2021 (UTC)Reply
