I wrote the History and future part based partly on my own experiences of the circuit in 84, 86, 06 and 09, and partly from books dealing with the Khampa insurgency and CIA involvement in it during the sixties and seventies. I also follow the Nepal trekking scene extensively on the Lonely Planet Thorn Tree forum.
