Missing information
edit1. Who canonized? 2. What cultus? Avoid Alban Butler, folks. A long time ago, I'd fill in saints, but I'd never just paste. If this is one of the many, many, many medieval saints canonized as part of the political movements of consolidation, then that's fine -- the saint's importance is due to legend and geography -- but grafting Butler is a bit . . . below the bar. 64.234.66.158 (talk) 17:54, 24 August 2014 (UTC)
- Sigh. The first formally "canonized" saint was St. Homobono of Cremona in 1199. All saints before that date have "traditional" cults. Your blatant Anti-Catholicism in saying the Butler is "as bit below the bar" shows your ignorance. P.S. I have a doctorate in medieval history from U.C. Berkeley. 50.230.37.66 (talk) 03:41, 28 December 2023 (UTC)
Picture is not of this saint
editAlthough the caption says 'Statue of St Audoin (left) and St Waninge (right), in Fécamp, France,' the saint on the left is actually St Ouen and St Audoin is not represented in the image. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.97.202.171 (talk) 19:54, 3 November 2014 (UTC)
- Audoin is apparently also known as Ouen and Owen. Mannanan51 (talk) 01:41, 1 February 2015 (UTC)
