Assessment, stub class for now
editI assessed this as a mid-importance article for the Wikiproject Musical Instruments, as a feature on a wide range of instruments. I rated it a start because it contains the start of a good article but needs more (perhaps history?) The references are good so far. If you improve it and want reassessment or need help or have questions, please drop me a line.Jacqke (talk) 20:10, 9 May 2018 (UTC)

needs work
editInformative but breezy, so unwarranted assumptions are skimmed lightly over, such as one can order custom neck ... and change one by just removing one neck and attaching the other which is unaware that four holes drilled on a high-speed assembly line don't necessarily line up nicely with four holes drilled on someone else's assembly line.
Overall, there should be some effort to push the text toward standard English grammar.
The article title and opening remarks obscure that the term is NOT some sort of standardized or historical usage; this is mentioned further down, and should be featured immediately. (I've guessed it originated as a term of derision from fans of set-neck instruments, sneering at the "lesser" assembly-line instruments. I have absolutely no evidence.)
