An interesting fact about Brandin Podziemski is that he was named 2023 WCC Co-Player of the Year while playing for Santa Clara University. This is the same school that produced NBA star Steve Nash, making Podziemski one of the few Santa Clara players to gain significant national attention since Nash.
Before transferring to Santa Clara, Podziemski originally played for the University of Illinois, where he had limited playing time. His breakout season at Santa Clara, where he averaged impressive stats (around 19.9 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game), showcased his potential and helped him earn a spot in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors, who picked him 19th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft. 130.166.192.198 (talk) 00:56, 30 October 2024 (UTC)Reply
