Incorrect statement regarding the buzzer

edit

Whether a shot scores or not is solely determined by whether there was time on the clock or not when the player made the shot. The sound of the buzzer and when it ends has nothing to do with it. No mention of it here, for example: https://official.nba.com/rule-no-5-scoring-and-timing/ CrinklyCrunk (talk) 22:20, 25 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Super Bowl XXXVIII

edit

The article incorrectly states that Adam Vinatieri's kick in Super Bowl XXXVIII was a buzzer beater. There were 4 seconds left on the clock after his field goal, and the Patriots had to kick the ball off to the Panthers for the final play of the game. 2601:14D:8200:3C0:E929:1296:9EA9:F111 (talk) 05:28, 17 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
