Existence of article
edit- Not sure if this article warrants keeping but I cleaned it up a little and moved it from climate in to climate of. Paul 06:35, 21 September 2005 (UTC)
- I agree that this article needs a lot of work. Who says Virginia is sub-tropical, except, maybe near the coast? Stepp-Wulf 03:05, 19 April 2006 (UTC).
- At this point, since merger has not occurred during the past 15 months, the article should be kept and expanded, as work on state-by-state climatologies has been progressing as of late. Thegreatdr (talk) 21:48, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
Northern Virginia?

Severe weather
edit"He-llo Fo-to" (shop)
The current "photo" Lightning over Short Hill Mountain.jpg under the Severe weather section is hardly one that should be included in an encyclopedic presentation of the Climate in Virginia. Most striking is the unnatural horizon line, as well as the clarity of the clouds vs the granularity of the sky. The author discloses compiling a "pseudo HDR" image.
If the desired effect is to combine the extremes of the weather in Virginia, this same type of "psuedo-HDR" photograph can be taken in about any location in the world, and posted on Wikipedia to their respective pages. But they're not, because they add no "truth" to their "Severe" Weather topics. They would appear artificial, as this image does.
In conclusion, This "photograph" is inappropriate for an encyclopedic presentation of the Severe Weather section of the Climate in Virginia Wikipidia page. Such a view doesn't exist. Hypocritus (talk) 13:04, 5 September 2017 (UTC)
