editHello I am looking for information regarding Dahlia Imperialis. The common name is Tree Dahlia. They are beautiful Dahlias that grow as tall as my house. Unfortunately there aren't too many growers of this type of Dahlia on the web. I am looking for different colors and styles of Tree Dahlias. Please investigate the Tree Dahlia so that more people will produce these wonderful plants.
Images
editThe images are stunning, but there are too much, which slows down the loading time of the page. I think a few (4-5) examples should stay (different flowering types) and the others should go on the variety's own page. Ninja neko 16:59, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
popular varieties?
editIn a previous version, the images of dahlias were labled as being popular. I have removed the "popular" reference. The most popular dahlias and the most "winning" dahlias can be different. I am not privy to what wholesalers sell, but because I compete at dahlia shows, I do know what the most competetive dahlias are and what wins Best of Show. These statistics are available through the American Dahlia Society and their annual Classification Book. --Sfdeborah 21:37, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

File:Dahlia x hybrida.jpg to appear as POTD soon
editHello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Dahlia x hybrida.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on February 9, 2011. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2011-02-09. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :) Thanks! howcheng {chat} 23:37, 8 February 2011 (UTC)
Edibility
editI'd like to see something in the article about the edibility of dahlia tubers and history of consumption. They are currently being promoted as an edible crop in the UK by James Wong. 79.79.250.194 (talk) 13:08, 26 April 2013 (UTC)
Tuber in Asteraceae
editThis plant as a tuber in the Asteraceae family? Isn't that a bit odd? Rui ''Gabriel'' Correia (talk) 13:37, 27 April 2013 (UTC)
