Monotypic or no?
editAccording to Brown algae#Classification, Discosporangiales contains Choristocarpaceae and Discosporangiaceae.[1][2] Wikispecies also shows two families. @EncycloPetey: says the families are synonymous, but I want to see some references on that.
- OK, they were synonymous, but checking Wikispecies and AlgaeBase, it looks as if that situation has changed recently, and the order is no longer monotypic. --EncycloPetey (talk) 01:46, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
- Thanks, glad we could get to the bottom of it. Nessie (talk) 02:06, 6 December 2017 (UTC)
