Just some miscellaneous points, but not enough to put in the article.

• MACDONALD returned from the Boer War by May 1900, and Scottish-Australian poet and bush balladeer Will H. OGILVIE (1869–1963) returned to Scotland in Feb 1901, so when was MACDONALD in New South Wales, and driving cattle?

• He was MACDONALD, not MacDONALD. His own work shows that.

• I cannot find why his wife Jessie is not indicated in his obituaries; only his daughter Elaine. Separately, did not find much reference to Elaine's husband James. Have not checked if they had children. He had nieces, including Mrs Margaret FLETCHER and Miss Kathleen MACDONALD.

• While Donald Macdonald Park was named prior to May 1937, it was also still known as Black Rock Park in 1939 when the memorial bird bowl was unveiled.

• There is a photograph but still under copyright, so cannot include.[1][2]
